Wesley Schneider was different class against Italy and France. Wasnt at his best against Russia but still a wicked delivery from set peices. Had the Dutch gone further i think he would have won this award.

Can't complain because he was terrific.

I would've picked Iniesta but i won't begrudge Xavi his rightful place

i honestly think that Grosso was Italy's best player. he defended well and played some killer crosses that really should have been finished by someone and i think he deserves a shout. him and lahm fullbacks of the tournament

I would probably have agreed with your comment about lahm before Torres turned him inside out for the Spanish goal.

Spain are too small to be a great team, they have so many short players in their team, yes! i know they won the tournament but did they beat any decent teams?
Russia = way overhyped
Italy = only showed up for pens then lost at them
Germany = shocking defensively
Spain would never beat holland, portugal, croatia if any of these teams showed up in any kind of decent form.

Please tell me that is a joke.

What defines a good team now? Brazil and Argentina are slipping because their star players are pampered in Europe (Kaka, Messi, Ronaldinho etc..). Exceptions being the ones playing in England such as Tevez and Mascherano. Seems that players are required to work harder in the premier league and are not set on pedestals like at Barca and Real.

Marcos Senna but he doesn'y deserve and I'm glad UEFA had the bottle not to give him the POTT for the simple reason that he's Brazilian left right and centre, and absolutely no European roots.

This is a European tournament, and if I were Platini I wouldn't have even let Senna participate. If Senna is too cr@p to play for Brazil it's his bloody problem.

Well done Uefa. Mr Senna, go back to where you came from Thank You.winkeye

What a joke, if any players are put on a pedestal it's the ones in the premier league. People claim that Mascherano is the best defensive midfielder in the world, Torres is the best striker in the world, and Ronaldo is the best player in the world. Before you even make such a comment do a little research. Kaka has had a knee operation hence he hasn't got to play with Brazil. Coincidence: Brazil haven't been that great during qualifying. Besides if Mascherano, and Tevez are working so hard, why aren't they also helping Argentina? A little too high on the pedestal perhaps?
