Watching Mendis bowling today against Pak, think he could outfox any top batsman of today!

yeah, he dosn't turn it massively but it's that sneaky turn which moves just enough to find an edge, so it's odd he hasn't picked up more edges. it really depends though on how good batsmen become at picking him.

the top spinners continue to prosper even after coaches and opposition spend weeks pouring over close ups of them bowling.

I am sorry Indian fans but when it comes to talent Sri Lanka and Pakistan are the best in Asia. Sachin is the only Indian player whom i have admired. I admire multiple players from both SL and Pakistan.
But it is a shame that SL and Pakistan get involved in things outside the pitch where it compromises their performance on the pitch at important times. You know what i mean? I have to word it carefully.

between when was SL involved in things outside the pitch??!!!

i thought its only the pakistani players who always find themselves with something and harbajan/srisanth for india.

1) You are right we have never won a test in aus or india. But what does that prove. We are still a relatively new team in the test arena.

People seem to forget that when you compare the wealth of talent a country like India with its Billion plus population SHOULD have compared to little 'ol Sri Lanka which has a population of a few million most of which is preoccupied with a civil war well I think it would be fair to call india underachievers and Sri lanka over achievers.

2) Also sonofthe what are you talking about whne have SL been involved in off the pitch insidednts.

I m sorry srilankan fans but when it comes to batting Indian batsmen outdo the srilankan & pakistan(expect sanath) and are the best in asia.
If someone says me to watch a match between these three teams I would admire watching Indian batting & SriLankan bowling....
It is true to admit that indians lack bowling talent someone like ajanta to take 4 wickets on his debut is a great bowler to have.... No pak batsmen could face him.... awesome to watchok

scorpio, in terms of the swhole batting unit you're probably right.
but you have to count sangakkara as a world-beater. asian test batsman of the year, and 3 centuries in the first 4 matches of the asia cup ODIs. and before he got injured he was doing well in hte 20/20 IPL too.
