Amazing Pacman!

Light
comment on the article

IMO, Pacman did a very good job in taking the WBC Lightweight title from David Diaz. He has matured a lot, learnt a lot from proper training, has stayed humble, then applied it all on the ring. Amazing was the first word that popped into my mind when I was watching Manny dismantle David in the early rounds of their fight.

Not to take anything away from David, he was game all the way. But then, by his own admission, Manny was way too much as what he expected him to be.

You might have read this already but I'd like to mention it again, he has made a magnificent feat which no other Asian had done before in boxing. To that I take my hat off!!!

What I admire about this chap is his humility which I reckon is one of the best qualities in most Filipinos. I should know 'coz I have more or less followed his matches even on the early days of his fighting career when he was still a very young prospect out of nowhere.

Congratulations to you PACMAN!!!

p.s.

SIZE DOES NOT MATTER!

Floyd is/was way ahead of Manny, when Manny fights against pure skilled fighters he has a real fight on ie JMM Barrera Morales etc except Floyd is bigger strronger and quicker than all of those guys.

Floyd doesnt crush anyone. For me Floyd has lost anyway. Castillo beat him! ODLH come close but id give PBF that one. Shame Manny is that little bit to small but saying that the way he's looking I predict 2010 Manny knocks out David Haye to lift the heavyweight championship! Come on Manny

pacmanjunior dont compare JMM, Barrera, to PBF anyway. PBF is skilled in terms of defensiveness. His offensive abilities are not neccesarily better then Morales, JMM and Barrera. They are world class boxers so obviously PBF isnt way ahead of those guys. Its comparing apples and oranges.
The way we would know if PBF would beat Pacman is if they got in the actual ring. Otherwise its all specualation. Yes PBF being favourite sounds right to me. But in boxing that dont mean much.

Bob i fully appreciate your argument but the point im making is that he hasnt fought a warrior with any real class. IMO Floyd hasnt fought anyone as good as Manny. Hatton and Castillo are warriors but they havent got the skills to be considered very dangerous. Manny has the heart and the skills and i would fully expect him to beat Floyd. Im not saying it would be a cakewalk but i think Floyd would be alittle taken back by how much pressure Manny will put him under. I realise that Manny can be countered and that suits PBF but Manny for me would be throwing so many accurate punches that PBF wouldnt be able to take advantage of it. Either way it would be a stunning fight.
----------------------------
Did you see JMM fight Pacman? He showed that a slick fighter can negate Pacman's strengths, and beat him twice.
Mayweather never fought anyone as good as Manny? De La Hoya, Judah and Hatton were all more dangerous. Who has Manny fought that is as dangerous as floyd?

** Now, bobby, there you go again.

Marquez showed a slick fighter can be blasted down 4-5x on the canvas depending on how you interpret the Marquis de Queensbury rules that protect him from further damage.

Now Now Ringy, you're getting predictable. An accurate throwaway comment about Manny or Tyson and your like a mutt with a squeaky toy.
Have a quick nap old timer and then break out the tape collection, methinks it's time to study up!

I am one of pacmans biggest fans but think he would struggle at 147lb and would be in a real fight at 140lb agianst hatton. He is amaying and the best p4p in the world but the step up mazbe too much nowl, he beat Diay easily and would knock amir khan out in less than 4 rounds but against hatton he maz struggle and to be honest mazweather has fought arder punchers...

Mannz my fave fighter and he would give the 140lb lot a good gobut he would not neccesarily beat floyd who is p4p king recently.

Diaz fight amaying and ell done, bring on khan or hatton for a good scrap for the pinoy warrior

Manny might not beat Hatton. But that dont mean he wouldnt beat PBF. Just because PBF beat Hatton it dont mean he would beat Pacman, even if Hatton beat Pac. You see, there is no exact logic to boxing and its not a science. Otherwise all people who bet on boxing would win.
I do fancy Hattons chances against Pacman though. Even though Pac is excellent, i really feel Hatton is a strong 140lb champ.

First of all Floyd lost to castillo in the same way Hatton lost to Collazo and Pacman lost to JMM in fight 2 except to put the record straight there was a rematch. Now how on earth Manny couldn't beat Hatton but could beat PBF is beyond me if DLH couldn't ram raid Floyd out of sight whats Manny gonna do? Outbox himsmiley? I adore Manny and he's rightfully P4P king now but thats only because the true king left his throne, Manny is a legend stay at lightweight big matches and fight JMM once more but don't turn into a frak show trying to compete with the 140lbs.
