i am interested to see who people think will win Wimbledon after watching the first week which has seen some good performances from people like federer, murray, ancic and also jankovic and the williams sisters. I think murray is playing well enough to get past gasquet and give nadal more than a good game but i just can't see anyone challenging federer until the semi's at least and in the womens after ivanovic and sharapova went out i fancy jankovic or one of the williams sisters for the title

I honestly can't see how Nadal is going to get beaten over 5 sets this year. I think Murray can take a set off him if he gets past Gasquet, and I can see Federer possibly taking 2 sets, but I think Nadal is a much better player this year and will win.

I don't necessarily agree with the statement that sport, done well, should look as if anyone could do it. The greatest track athlete in my lifetime (who isn't often mentioned nowadays)was Emil Zatopek. He always looked as if he was in agony. True, running is more sheerly effortful than tennis, but generally top runners look fairly relaxed.

I think that Mario Ancic is going to be a true test for Federer. If Federer is not in top form, Ancic who is one of the top grass players and who is full of self belief, will beat him.

I think there might be an all swiss semi between Federer and Warwrinka. The other semi could be Tipsy vs Nadal.

Federer now has a tough route to the final having to get past (probably) Hewitt, Ancic and Safin. But I think if he makes it there he will triumph once again.

I really have had enough of people putting down are very own Andy Murray He may not be The best in the world but if he is getting to the quater finals in one of the biggest grand slams in the world then i think he is doind pretty well he is in great form and if people beleive in him then he is more likely to do well

Read the above article and do you think its fair for the 12 Seed to be playing all of his games on the show courts. Surely he could have played the early rounds on lesser courts and then progressed to Centre & No.1. Its good for the BBC viewing figures and
Wimbledon but not very sporting. Yes they do the same at the other Grand Slams to favour the home talent but it still does not make it right. Except for the very top seeds the order of play and courts should be left to a draw.

This is not against Murray, Tim Henman and others have enjoyed this unfair advantage for far to long......

This guy Ancic talks a lot...."I prove that..i did that ..i will do that..ibeliever etc", and that is what we call a 'big mouth'. Better be silent and prove himself rather than shouting.
