comment on the article

I'll shortly be bringing you the live text for today's fifth and final ODI between England and New Zealand at Lord's.

The news just in is that Alastair Cook is replacing the suspended Paul Collingwood. But how will this affect England?

Get involved and join the debate.

Great. Anothers eries defeat and let's change the wicketkeeper. It's as simple as that isn't it?
Topanalyser, sisterkaren is completely right though. The captaincy is not the problem, it's the lack of quality players in depth that is. Something went wrong between Chester-le-Street and Lords.

Difficult to believe that Ambrose is the best wicketkeeper available to us! What did Mustard do wrong? This sort of performance is so frustrating to watch because we know what the players can do when they're in form. Can't see us beating South Africa without some major changes.

That is IT!

Bring in Mustard (and several others, names of whom ahve slipped out of my mind) and take OUT of the one-day side:

- Bell
- Bopara
- Wright
- Ambrose
- Broad

All over-rated players and only hyped up because they are the only half-decent young English players about

England should hope Zimbabwe get reinstated soon as they may be the only team that England possibly could beat. Inept buffoons all of them at this level.

We might hope to beat Bangladesh I suppose. If not we could always play some friendlies against some non Test playing teams to get back in practise.

Well that sums it up - no one can think of suitable replacements. The only changes in England sides seem to be blooming wicketkeepers!

Does anyone think that we will ever get to a point where we pick in form players instead of persisting with people that might come good in the end.

Collingwood hasn't been any use all season.

Poor captaincy in the fourth match, with reactive field placings and that dreadful decision to insist on the run out.

What about Pieterson, a great innings in the first match but nothing since.

And then there's Ambrose, drops catches, misses chances and doesn't score runs. I can only think that Mustard must have said something out of place when he opened with a ton.

Todays last three overs were a disgrace, with Sidebottom and Anderson both appearing to lose their cool.

After waiting patiently all that time

Finally New Zealand have something to cheer about. Fantastic win to round off the tour here in England.

I knew they cud win the ODI series and rightly so. Fantastic knock by Styris.

I must also confess that this is the first time i have commentated on New Zealand performance since they lost the Test series and the 20/20 match.

Go on Kiwis.

(Also farewell Waikato - wherever you are)
