Not convinced. I think some, but not all, pros think it's the one they most want to win. But unless they're not turning out for the others, they are just as major.

THe OP was about Wimby being a greater achievement, not its romantic status.

why does the bbc website say Serena V Mauresmo.....1st name terms?? That's like putting Roger V Nadal it's just weird.

Dirs...Serena always makes me swoon, and Amelie must be the ultimate athlete in ladies' tennis. Tennis-wise it may not be the greatest, but it's shaping up to be a thriller!

Serena. Well done, you are fabulous, as is Venus. I love the Williams girls, who are real, gritty, gutsy, skillful athletes who deserve their fame and fortune. They are heroines both. What do the Brits have to offer, on their own turf? Just sad, limp-wristed, over-hyped, under-talented also-rans like Henbore, and the latest gormless contender.
