comment on the article

Spain have confirmed that David Villa will miss the Final on Sunday!

The injury has not been made yet but the Spanish Physio has given Spanish fans bad news by ruling Villa out of the Final against Germany in Vienna

Does that mean Fabregas will start the Final?

On 23th of Sep 08 they will make it official. It has been decided already internally: From 2016 we will have 24 teams in the EURO tournament.

They wanted to give a fairer chance to the smaller and medium teams like Latvia, England and Slovenia.

Spain vs Germany will be just like Russia vs Nederlands. No chance Germans will win if they have no means to break down Spanish midfielders.

I am a Scot who would love Scotland to be in the competition.Failing that it would have been good for any of the British teams to be there.(Despite what some people say the majority of Scots do cheer on England).
However I am really enjoying the competition and have to say that the two best sides made it to the final.I want Spain to win now because their style of play is terrific to watch.
I think this Spanish side are doing so well because some of their players play their football in England and are used to playing a faster and tighter game.Fabregas especially has looked top class.

"Thanks A lot BBC7" - Go jump in the Isar, please. Being German, you know full well where this river is. It is fast-flowing and very accommodating for jokers like you. You'll eat humble pie tomorrow, I can tell you. Happy swimming.

"ronrafferty" - Thanks for a really sensible comment. I'm a quarter Scottish (you know what the other three-quarter is I guess) and I too am enjoying this competition greatly. Yes, the two best sides reached the final (don't tell "Thanks A lot BBC7" I said this, it will go to his head). He's cooling-off at the moment in Munich's River Isar.

Lehman surely has an attitude problem. He has had good times and bad times in arsenal and should keep complaining all the time. "I am glad to represent arsenal in the final"! What about Cesc Fabulous. Who is he representing. He has had such a good time and has acted gentlemanly enough to be respected all over the world.

Amusing to hear a liverpool player talking about "Making" history for a change.

Their fans can only talk about their "illustrious" history, rather than presenting any serious challenge in the present or future.

Without any sentiment, if Fabregas is confined to the bench as a super substitute in this final game, that will be a huge gamble that will not work against Germany. If they hope to win, start the game with Fabregas.

I went to the Isar and tried to befriend it but it spit me out again.

Germany to win 2:1, Gomez (seriously) and Klose with a Xabi goal for Spain.
