better viewing without Tiger???PGA Tour by norosegarden (U12473727) 26 June 2008 Whilst you can do nothing but admire Tiger and what he has done for the game of golf, does anybody agree with me that he has done less for tv viewing. Whenever Tiger plays the cameras follow him, he must take up 75% of the programme, i know its all figures etc etc but i for one prefer to watch other players. It's not his fault the TV stations decide to follow him everywhere and put a lot of attention on him. All he did was practice and become the best, by some way, at what he does and most people here have a hard time accepting that.

Fat10 (U6603165) posted Jul 2, 2008 I think it will do him good ! an extended break from golf and some time with his daughter . Once the knee is fixed the main man will be back better than ever . Any sport is poorer without his main stars but still looking forward to some great tournaments without him .

bayomad (U4957958) posted Jul 5, 2008 You are obviously a European and if i may say so you sound similar to those players Vijah Singh describes as "not pushing themselves but rather living in their comfort zone." ALA Most English premiership players, It is obvious Tiger Woods the phenomenom has not just changed the way viewing figures and advertisers work, in America in the PGA which is more meaningful than the mediocre European Tour, everytime Tiger is in contention, viewing figures peak, but when tiger is not in contention, which i hasten to add is far and few in between, the figures fall considerably. Looking at it from the standpoint of the English, you guys glorify losers: Tim Henman, David Beckham, Andy Murray, and an endless list of sports men that i have better things to do than sit here naming the 'also rans' who collectively amount to NOTHING except in the eyes of the suffering British public who would speak differently had Tiger being one of their own.
