Premier League Liverpool

I can't help but feel were pushing our luck. 9million doesn't seam like too bad an offer to me. I think the 15 million we reportedly want is ridiculus, it shows that english player prices are just becoming too inflated. Barry 20 milion is also a stupid price if the reports are true. And if the reports are true we are trying to sell Alonso for 15m so thus Crouch is worth the same as Alonso crazy world.

"Remember his overhead against Galatasaray?"

I've seen fat 40 year olds playing in pub football leagues pulling off the odd overhead kick.

Great STRIKERS do have to score goals I'm afraid, and certainly more goals than he could ever score, and considering thats the position he plays, you are talking rubbish.

Great strikers do have to score goals but you can still be a great player without scoring 20 a season! rooney works hard for the team making players around him more space also making them look better than they are.

When man utd played Roma all there players and staff said rooney was the best on the pitch the most compleat player.

Only people who are blinded by hate or just dont understand football would say rooney is overrated!

Then how come all the pundits recognised that it was brilliant? Also, the goal at the Emirates last season, when he turned the defender inside out.

I know Crouch is not the best striker in the league at the moment, but he is still up there as one of the best English ones around. The fact the Harry Redknapp - the best English manager aorud at the moment in my opinion - was willing to pay 11 million for him confirms that.

Crouch is a very good striker. The few chances LFC gave him to shine he often would. No he is not as good as Torres but then who is?

He is better than the others Benitez has kept hold of.

Sorry to see you go Crouch. Wont suprise me to see you score 20 goals next season and it wont suprise me if you set a load up as well.

Good luck with your move....

Crouch is worth 9m and was signed as a partner 4 Defoe and i think they'll make an ace partnership, although not good enough 4 England B4 Pompey fans get carried away.

As a season ticket holder at Liverpool for many years, let me reassure all you Portsmouth fans that £11m for Crouch is a good deal. The lad will run through brick walls for you. If you watch him week after week you will soon realise the work he puts in. There are so many teams (including Chelsea and Portsmouth) that did not like playing against him as they simply could not handle his height or pace.
Crouchy is a good buy, he is very well liked at Liverpool and will be missed.
Goodbye Crouchy, you'll never walk alone

£11m may be slightly more than he's worth but nonetheless he's still a fantastic signing for us!..

Him and defoe should link up quite well together.. can't see where utaka is going to play though, especially if harry brings in wright-phillips
