Stadium

Liverpool
comment on the article

What concerns does everyone have with the new stadium plans. Personally I like the design and am excited for a new stadium. But I have just been looking at the pictures again, and my biggest concern is that the seats are too far away from the pitch. I am hopeing that it will turn out great. What does everyone think. What concerns do you have, or does evryone like it?

Will this stadium ever get finished? Being so close to the mysterious liverpool triangle, every evening when work stops the building materials will inexplicably vanish along with some of the JCB's. Not dissimilar to socks in a washing machine. I think that supernatural forces will be at work because of the proximity to the legendary 'hub-caps graveyard'.

The owners are nicking them and selling to try to get funds for the stadium?

While Man Utd and Chelsea lose thier star players.

------------------------------------

Chelsea have just appointed Scolari as boss I think there might be some star players coming in... unless you want to be a naive idiot.

May I also point out that Liverpool fans especially, think Lampard and Drogba are rubbish anyway... or have you all suddenly changed your tune and now they are star players. I suppose they did knock you out of Europe!

I wasn't on about Drogba he is the biggest baby in the whole world. I think Lampard is a good player not as good as Gerrard but a close second. I meant Essien, Lampard and those ones. Also I think J Cole might leave as your new manager seems like someone who is not going to buy English palyers and sign only South Americans and Poutgal players.

Its sad that stadiums now just want to cram as many people in as possible. I wouldnt like to be near the top at Man U, Wembley or Newcastle or Arsenal, to watch flies running around. You need to be nearer to have a good footballing experience. But then, football is no longer about the fans, is it.

Can you explain to me why disabled people should get cheaper seats anyway? I'm all for provisions for the disabled, but don't understand this one. When disabled people go shopping, there should be parking and access etc. for them, but they don't pay less for their shopping.

=========

Yes, I totally agree. I was going to say something similar but chickened out, so well done.

I guess you could argue that for disabled people it is often more diffiuclt to get to the games, due to transport etc not being sufficiently geared up, so making it easier through lower cost partially off sets this.

Otherwise, my natural instinct is to disagree with what you say, although I cannot deny your logic one iota

I think the initial build should be bigger 65, maybe even 70,000. And built in such a way that it can be expanded even further to 75-80000

Not only that but safety requirements mean they have by law to have a helper to evacuate them if needed. This means that a disabled person wanting to attend a match has to buy 2 tickets at Liverpool and therefore has to pay twice as much.

I really find it odd that you are arguing with me I am just pointing out the facts. As I say the Disabled Supporters group are the one's pushing for lower/free prices.I'll bow to them about this as they have far more experience about it than me or you.

I wonder why 19 other Prem teams find it ok to have better pricing than Liverpool do.I guess it's once again a case of only Liverpool being right and everyone else is wrong doh

Where are you getting your facts on this that says Liverpool have the worst disabled pricing policy in the premiere?
And do these other 19 teams include West Brom, Hull & Stoke or does it include Birmingham, Derby & Reading? It seems like you will spout any rubbish like your earlier spurious argument for Liverpool having supposedly the 17th worst atmosphere, simply to wind people up. Grow up!

Not atmosphere, noise level and it was hardly spurious as I gave a link to the survey.

I don't know why you're blaming me I just read it and posted it.It's not like I made it up it was a genuine survey that cost lots of money to undertake by a highly reputable firm.

As for the disabled prices those were from last year but you've actually raised those prices this year so it's still highly likely you're the most expensive.
Once again though it's not made up by me you do charge the most.
I really find it odd that people are protesting so much about actual facts. If I'd made it up I could understand but it's been carried out and those are the results.Sorry you don't like them too bad.
