Still on about semantics eh!?

Whether it was 'played like pinball or the ball was moving around like pinball' blah blah blah whatever...it amounts to exactly the same thing.

Fact is that Italy can't play at such speed and so you are jealous. 90% of the rest of the world would rather see football played at a good speed...it's certainly better than defensive and "keeping the ball but doing nothing with it" that the Italians like to kill the game with.

Italy was outclassed, outhought and ultimately defeated by a far superior Spain. Yet Italian biterness knows no bounds it would seem.

Christ, Sabcarrera, you are one sad case.

You don't debate issues at all...you dwell on some small, insignificant detail on which you are either wrong/bitter/can't accept losing.

I'll leave you to it.

"Now, where does that mention "negativity!?" I'm struggling to find that word or idea amongst a discussion about good, technical football played at high or low SPEED."

Oh boy. You didnt mention 'negativity' so you wouldnt find it in any of your comments on the subject. But you did mention something about the Italian national football team that was negative.

Quote: "You're just jealous and bitter because Italy cannot play football like athletes...see Milan v Arsenal in the San Siro in the Champs League this season."

Now do you get it? I'm sure you do but just interested in winding long and hard to get oneupmanship. And why did you copy and paste the whole comment when the core of it was what I had C&P above??

What's with your comprehension? Made the negative comment, got pulled up on it, quoted a match as example but had the same team used as a counter-point, then you go on as if you are brighter than myself, particularly because I'm a Liverpudlian and you're.....a Man Utd fan.

"Oh dear! I hear Liverpudlians aren't the brightest..."

No, you didnt. Chip on your shoulder, yet again. Thing is, with such a chip, you cannot be taken for serious because your points will be considered to have a bias view. And that is so common with most Man Utd fans, particularly now. Surprises me how you haven't linked up yet with Hugo Drax, Erns Blofeld & Auric Goldfinger in seeking to take over the world!

Again, no mention of negativity is there!?

Yes, I have called their national team negative but this was a quite separate point...about speed. Hence I said Milan were slow i.e played slow and slow as athletes.

It's really not that difficult to understand...maybe for you though? If you wanted to quote me talking about negative Italian football then fine...but at least get a quote that is relevent. i.e mentions the word 'negative.' *Gets dunce's cap out for Liverbird Mate once again*

And laugh at Man Utd fan. That's would be why I contribute to so many Man Utd threads then!?

Fyi, I don't support a club (aka franchise) but keep going with desperate comments if it makes you happy. smiley

What the hell are you on about!? You say I mention the "Italian team" is "negative" then take a quotation from my post when I talk about MILAN (a club side) talking about at what SPEED they play football.

Indeed, I quoted the whole thing because I thought the words "pinball" "slow speed" (i.e your brain) and "very fast speed" (i.e my brain) might clear up the difficulties you are having.

So, I think to most people that is a fairly self-explanatory discussion about speed!! Not negativity (which isn't mentioned or even hinted at!!) but speed. Get it!? Is Liverpudlian different to English or something?? Is English not your first langauge?

Is there any hope for you, Linford!? doh

Brazilian football is slow yet they have won five world cups or two not counting the ones that were won before we started counting

Brazil's football is certainly not slow!!

Well, they have periods where they slow the game when they want to merely keep possession but when they need to be they are explosive.

See Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho, Kaka to name a few. They are/were all fast players, moved the ball around quickly, dribbled quickly.
