Burnley are set too announce a third signing in the space of 3 days at 3 today, my money is on russell or mcdonald, anyone got any inside info ???

also i see we have been given television honours vs barnsley as doncaster wouldn't take the slot because they didn't want to play 2 games in 3 days.

Alright guys. Dundee fan here. Gutted to lose Kev Mac but it was inevitable. Good luck to the boy, he's got a lot of talent and can go a long way. He also signed a new contract last year when he could have sat it out and moved for nothing, which meant we got money so fair play.

Don't expect too much too soon. Yes, McDonald is a fine player but he's still young and will take time to adjust to the step up.

He's got a lot of skill on the ball and is a good passer of the ball. He can definitely take a goal and gets stuck in, although the defensive side of his game is still a tad raw, shall we say.

He's still got a lot to learn though. He does have the tendency to go missing for periods of games and isn't the quickest. He was outstanding for us though and I'm sure he'll adapt and be a player for you boys.

we need somebody who can move the ball around creatively in midfield and hopefully mcdonald will be the man. we've got a pre-season to scotland that i'm seriously considering going on so i can watch our new guys in action !

hopefully he can help us push on in the league and we can give him a platform to go onto bigger and better things in the future !

To be fair

Celtic fans wil lsay they wanted to sign him but no way is he gonan shove anyone out of Celtics MF. I am a Hearts fan and just hope OC does not make the same mistake as Jefferies at Bradford and Levein at Leicister by buying average players from Scotland.

To be honest I seen him play last year, guys good, but I i'd not have been over the moon if we tried to buy him, but he might settle into English football where he has more time and better standard than Scottish first.

Every time I come on BBC I see Burnley linked with someone new!

I only wish we heard a peep from our club, only time they talk to us is when tickets are for sale lol

All positive comments n no negative suggest a good deal. Been told he gets his fair share of yellow cards as well as goals. Sounds just like Chris McCann!! UTC

The one thing im glad about is the good wishes from Dundee fans. Its rare to see such good will when a player leaves so congrats.
Hope he will be a great asset to us at The Turf.

Th reason for this is that you gave Dundee a fair price. Sadly, the talented young Scottish players (suchs as Riordan and Naismith) are all too often grappled from the smaller clubs by the Old Firm for little recompense. The media (which only really serves Old Firm gloryhunters) puts severe pressure on the clubs to sell (see Mark Reynolds at Motherwell having his 'dream' move wrecked). These players are promised the world but inevitably can't get into the team past the big money foreigners and eventually move to the Championship having missed out on several years playing.

I'm a Kilmarnock fan but have seen McDonald a couple of times. He's a good player.
