reading the article about ICL players banned from the champions league, i saw te bit that said the ECB might create a "rebel" one.
absolutely do it i think. ban the Indian teams for them being ridiculous in the first place, and invite ALL other test playing nations to participate, get Allan Stanford involved, a global tournament to raise the profile, will be very popular all over the world.
then theres a lot of money at stake, so teams will want to compete. it would be top 2 from England, Australia, Pakistan, NZ, SA, Sri Lanka and WI (bangladesh?)

this will prove to the Modi who really has the power

It is not a test of quality cricket but
mental strength, big hitting and some tight bowling and fielding.Working people, gradually will soon start going for it compared to ODIs, for, T20 one doesnt have to take a day off and match over like a good Tennis Match or an extended Soccer/Rugby match.
It has come to stay because many are casual watchers.

The key question for ICL players is, at the time of signing were they aware of IPL's intentions.

Could they have refrained from signing if they knew in advance! I believe IPL wasn't even formed by then!

This is really very unfair!I don't know why BCCI/ICC not trying to find a compromise solution to this ICL problem. This will give a boost to this very first league championship.

I just find it sad that top class players would consider retiring early from an international career just so they could get more money in the ICL. Where would this leave the international cricket scene??

"how has life become so dependant on money? its really sad."

Haha That's a nice one! It's because:
less money can by 1 beer, more money can buy 3 beers
less money can buy small house, more money can buy big house
less money can buy economy seats, more money can buy business class seats and you can sleep better!

Very simple, actually. smiley
