They keep saying ince is the first black manager in premiership, but surely Jean Tigana counts?
remember the ex fulham manager?

How many more times must we say this....read the article properly and you will see that Ince is the first black BRITISH manager in the PL. And any way what's his colour got to do with it..he was born in Ilford not Jamaica or Africa..he is English and has got the job on merit.

why can't he keep his nose out ??

no doubt blackburn are in for a good thrashing when they play at old trafford and at eastlands and at the emirates and at anfield and at white hart lane et all

Thanks to Blackburn management for the bold decision and Congratulations to Mr.Ince for this appointment. Ince works hard and has a winning spirit in him.Just look back when he was a player in Mutd. He is in the same category of former players like Roy keanne, now coaching Sunderland. He will succeed. Please Mr. Ince get to the job and prove that Blackburn's management was very, very right in their decision. Ince, I know you to be an "action" man.I'm ipatiently waiting for the start of the premiership soon.

i think he is a fantastic choive for a manager!!!
he took MK dons out of the mire and i think he can push blackburn forward from where hughes left them!!!
and another former united legend aswell!!! lol!!!
i do agree that the media are hyping up the skin colour thing which is bad on their part!!!
pure and simple it doesnt matter!!! he could be green as long as he does his job and gets the right results!!!

Good luck to Paul Ince and Blackburn Rovers. We've just had a fantastic season with him playing (mostly) attractive football albeit at a lower level than the prem. One thing I really liked about him is that he is really calm and understated - he doesn't make a song and dance about stuff or rant from the touchline. If he came down earlier than midway into the second half you knew that he had a problem to solve!

And he usually did it - I'm no expert but I think that shows a lot of confidence in his players and demonstrates his man-management ability.

He's going to be a hard act to follow here, I'll now be looking out for Blackburn's results as well!

My question to all of you is this... There are more British ASIANS than British blacks; football is the most popular sport amongst asians in this country; and at school level kids of all nationalities are equally talented... so WHERE ARE THE ASIAN FOOTBALLERS IN ENGLAND??!!

We have lots of black players, and finally one black Prem manager, and people in this country have the nerve to say "we are not racist"?.... Yet not a single ASIAN player, let alone a mananger?! It's pathetic.

Typical, they must be racist and out to get me comment.

Asian????? Park Ji Sung, Lee Yung Po, Sun Jihai..... if they are good enough, and in Sun Jihai's case lucky enough they will get their chance.


I'm sure clubs are looking and saying, great player could be the next ROnaldo, but he's Asian, we'll give him a miss.....
