Driver Of The Day?

Formula One
comment on the article

Who's your driver of the day? For me it's close between Heikki or Trulli. I'm gonna go with Heikki, very close start for him and chipped away the positions throughout the day. Trulli has been excellent holding that 3rd position most of the afternoon. Kimi did well keeping it on the road until the end, seriously thought he'd be black flagged.

Massa or Trulli.
Massa for maintaining a good run of form, being in the right place at the right time to capitalise on someone else's misfortune. Many had written him off after the first couple or 3 races and he showed great spirit to be where he is now.
Trulli, for keeping it together when the heat was on from superior cars (and drivers?)

if i had to choose one it would be Trulli, because the F in FIA stands for Ferrari!

it is a close call between trulli and kimi surely.. there can be no other driver meriting mention on who was the best.. with the kind of problem kimi had just 30 laps into the race, he either would have blown his engine up or would have been forced to retire. but the pace he set right in the beginning allowed him to ensure that he could nurse his car right to the very end and bag second place if not the first.. nursing an f1 car to finish and that too in the points is one of the hardest things in f1.. trulli was amazing but i still take my hat off to kimi.. he managed to keep his championship alive so much so that massa was forced to admit that if it wasnt for kimi's mechanical failure, he cudnt even dream of winning in magny cours..

Perhaps some people ought to listen to a very experienced voice ( I know it is no longer fashionable because the older generation are past it!) Sir Jackie Stewart said about LH current woes
"He might not like to hear this, but he has a fundamental lack of experience at the top of the sport. If he asked for my advice, I'd say, 'Take your time, and don't expect too much of yourself'.

"I know because I've been there myself. I had a big accident in my second year, which I was lucky to survive. Over the next few years I changed: I gained experience, which gave me knowledge, which in turn enabled me to deliver."
God how I wish younger people would occasionally take the benefit of those who have been there before- nothing is really new in life!!

Between Jarno and Heikki
Gonna have to go for Jarno because of the way he held on in the last few laps with a car which was slowing down considerably in the light rain and for a Toyota to hold off Kubica, Kovalainen, Alonso and Webber for the entire race
Well deserved podium

I have to go for Trulli getting a podium in the Toyota. Piquet gets an honorable mention as well considering the pressure he's been under.

Truli is my choice. The Italian, Massa and Piquet also did a great job in the race... but Heikki??? Give me a break. Kovaleinen has done a quite mediocre job this season; just compare his performances to Hamilton's. He was just Ok in the race. Kimi??? Nothing special about his race either... and he' getting behind in the WDC. Hamilton is great, but when he starts from the back he gets too hasty and makes some silly mistakes.

I would go for Piquet. He was not intimidated by HK; and went on to finish ahead of FA.
