Grantybear (U9388009) posted Jun 23, 2008 £5.5M for a player who has never been able to consistently play to a high standard seems a lot. Surely the last thing Celtic need is another Scott Brown/Donati/even Nakamura, who too often doesnt show up til its take a free kick in the last minute time...

Celt1967 (U9586680) posted Jun 23, 2008 why do the english constantly have to go on and on and on about how much better the english premiership is than the SPL? why? we in scotland accept the fact, and never dispute it. leave us alone! by the way, the english premiership is WAY OVERRATED. The so-called "big four" are superb,no arguments, but there is a huge gulf in class between them and the rest of the league. (Derby would struggle in the SPL, for instance). The GENERAL standard of Serie A and La Liga is far superior to the english premiership, and the AVERAGE english side is nowhere near as good as the average La Liga / Serie A side. Get over yourselves, and give us all a break.

gingerjackson69 (U11274536) posted Jun 24, 2008 ttah, time to grow up and stop talking about minority interests, like cricket or even rugby, things the english football fans suddenly love when they dont qualify for the big tournaments as they should, because they are the biggest team in world obviously with the best players playing for the best teams in the best league. if all this was true why dont the fans embrace these other sports and have a season tickets for the cricket or perhaps they only like these minority interest sports because their over rated players in their over rated league cannot qualify for this silly tournament that doesnt mean anything unless a team wins which has got an english player in the squad like spain if they win its all down to torres, alonso, fabregas, arbeloa and reina who, with the exception of torres, are not good enough to start for the team unless its a nothing fixture. where in the world would we be without the epl and all the great english players and managers( hang on who was the last english manager to win the league in england??? perhaps it was before the league was dominated by three teams who can actually compete and win the league. if that is not one sided then i must be a cricket fan. and because you put down,in reality what is a well contested league i reckon you support one of the so called big three? let me guess harrods, lots of money im gonna go with you being a chelsea supporter. remember the days before the money came in and you actually supported your own team rather than jumping onto the money bandwagon, huh?
