A Step Forward? A Step Forward?

Premier League Manchester United

What is Ronaldo on? Real Madrid is a step forward from Manchester United? In what universe are they a step forward.
We have the largest fanbase in the world. WE ARE THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS, We are the richest club in the world. Real Madrid have not made it past the second round of the European cup for at least four years.
If Madrid had not won four consecutive European cups when it first started and everybody was not in it then they will only be two ahead of us.

"To many big words for me there am afriad"

Pardon the verbosity, I'm working on my English. Considering it's not my natural language, I mix up the words a bit too much.

"ENJOY FOOTBALL,thats what its about,or just enjoy."

Exactly my friend. ok

If Ronaldo thinks he deserves a chance to go to Real Madrid why then did he sign a long-term contract that surely comes commensurate with a hefty pay rise? Take the money and to hell with everything when he decides to up & leave when he feels like it? In this world that we live in there are rules and laws that we abide by. In professional sports and as in the business world there are such things as contracts. One cannot just take the money and not give back what is expected of you in return.

Most other premiership clubs have to face this on a regular basis as soon as man u, chelsea or arsenal come calling.

Liverpool are doing exactly what every side should aspire too: improve their team.

The way you do it is get better players.

Barry has given good service to Villa, and now he wants to move up.

Good for him.

The difference is, Liverpool have entered into negotiations with Villa.

That's how it has always worked.

It's just that the way Real and Ronaldo have gone about it: lacking the nerve to make clear statements, or make a concrete offer, smells of chicken-****.

ManU just have to realize that to Ronaldo, they're just a pay-cheque. Real is the team he wants to play for.

That's the way it goes.

There's a world of difference, as others here have said. Liverpool have been negotiating / bidding; Villa have said Barry is for sale - it's just the price that's to be agreed; Barry wants to win something in football, so feels a move to Liverpool will help that ...

Contrast this with the Ronaldo situation, where Real keep stirring it up, even though MU say he's not for sale; Ronaldo doesn't need to move in order to win medals - in fact, he's probably lessening his chances of winning anything if he moves - but ..he wants the extra money, and unlike Barry, he's already on a huge salaried long-term contract ...

In other words, there's little similarity between the 2 situations smiley

To get back to the poster's point: he doubted that a move from Man Utd to The Filth could be considered as a step fwd., bearing in mind fan base, "bigness", etc. But I repeat, it's not a question of that, it's a question of how he perceives life and football. He thinks Madrid and Real Madrid are sexier than Manchester and Man Utd. He probably also thinks he's safer and less liable to fall foul of drunken nutters in Madrid than in Manchester. He's right, to our shame as a nation.

You are Seven European cups behind Real. On 2 the same as nottingham forest.
-----------------------------------------------

You didn't watch this season then?

How insensitive! I've been in a coma.

You're absolutely right. One more than Forest, 2 more than Villa and 2 less than liverpool.

>>

and 3 more than Tottenham - aren't statistics helpful
