Paul Ince Not The Man

Premier League Blackburn Rovers
comment on the article

If Paul Ince decides to take the Blackburn manager's job it will be the end of one of the brightest coaching careers in football. I never liked him as a player but he is an outstanding young black english coach. What he has achieved at Macclesfield and MK Dons has been spectacular. These leagues are where a manager learns his trade. Less money and more scrutiny of a coach's man management skills in motivating and retaining players. I am sure Paul Ince is extremely ambitious but I think another three or four seasons in the lower leagues would incease his stock greater. Watch this space.

I'd rather fail with Ince than have survived with BF Sam or McClown. Just hope they got sorted sharpish before pre-season starts.

Can someone please tell me why (and I've nothing against Paul Ince or Blackburn Rovers) Premiership clubs appoint managers who don't have a UEFA Pro licence even though the clubs know it's obligatory and why do the Premier League always give clubs an exemption?

Everyone can now see at Blackburn what a great manager Paul Ince is.

Hughesy-boy had only a little bit of experience, Ince will do well as long as he keeps his eye open for talent like Hughes did. He's got big shoes to fill but he's more than capable of doing it.

Oh, and to all those people saying that this article was "racist", if it is indeed racist to state that Paul Ince is a talented young black English manager, why have BBC posted a headline on their sports page saying Paul Ince has been appointed the new Blackburn boss, and in so he becomes the first black English Premier League manager? NOTHING racist about this, as I previously said it's just the same as saying Paul Scholes is the best ginger player in the country.

Reverse racism really winds me up. PC gone mad, it really is.

Got to agree with you. Playing Fowler and selling Friedel are both mistakes. There have been many times that Friedel has kept Blackburn in the game on his own. I don't think their defence is that good and without Brad behind them they may get exposed. I would like to know who Ince is going to replace him with.

I also don't know enough about Andrews but it does worry me that this is potentially his first signing. Still we will have to wait until the season starts. I wish him all the best.
