Heinkeken Cup Draw

European Sale
comment on the article

So the seeding system has been put in place and yet again we are left with some ridiculously challenging groups. From a Sale point of view I'm absolutely gutted that before the competiion has even started our chances are looking slim.
Saying this, apart from Pool 1, the groups actually seem quite even. The idea of the seeding system is a very good one, but due to clubs that have only recently gained success, like Clermont and Ospreys, there were always going to be some tough groups. However, on the whole the groups look quite fair and this years HC is shaping up to provide us with another dramatic year of European rugby.

What do you guys think? Do you rate your team's chances? Which will be the most exciting group? Has the seeding system worked? Who will progress?

That's utterly riduculous, London Irish make it to the HC semis and then don't even get a place, what poppycock!

I think that the Munster style, with it's many many phases, played an important part in their success over the last years. If, due to a change in trainers, they try to run the ball more, then I think they will get killed by Clermont, otherwise, they will anger them to death! I think it is, at last, time for Leinster to show their quality, even if it is with a not so strong BOD. Look how easy they won the Magners league! Whatever happens... It will be a fantastic season of rugby! Shame that the ML and the GL can't be made into one league, to create such a tournament with the same excitement of the HC every week!!
