I think the director of football role causes more problems than it solves (in the UK at least), and this is coming from a Spurs fan with all the craziness that surrounded Jol wanting certain players and us paying £16m for Bent!

I'm not sure what, if anything, Dennis Wise can bring to Newcastle. I fail to see what qualifies him for this role - I always thought he was crap with no football brain whatsoever. Am I wrong?

I think Newcastle need a solid management team and at least a couple of seasons to turn things around without the chairman, fans or media putting too much pressure on them.

Rokkudan . Wise has no pedigree whatsoever. Any position that conflicts with the managers position has the potential for disaster. KK is in limbo. Come on display your undoubted knowledge and identify a Director of Football in any Prem Club that is a sword of damocles over the manager. Is'nt any so rap up bozo.

Kenyon is Commercial Director not Director of Football.

basogeordie must be another toon the way he bites. My point is that NFC has lost its way ( BIG TIME) and fans like you spend their lives making excuses for the poor running of the club and not letting the club know how they feel.I wish you lot would get real.

quickjohnnyred you would consider that as biting....you must find it hard to hold a conversation because that looked like a question to me....erm

in regards to NUFC losing its way or being run inappropriately, the current regime has had less than a year in charge so although things look a little confusing ATM im not going to be one to spit my dummy out at this early stage, would rather see how things develop,

you see the way I look it it is simple, the current owner spend hundreds of millions in buying the club, he is going to want to protect that investment by putting value on what he payed, running the club into hte ground is not going to do that.... so I would rather have patience.

Rokkudan hi ya sfb. Kenyon deals in the merchandising of CFC a role he had at MUFC. The Ruski doles out the bread. Answer the question dumbass. Name a Director of Football in the Premiership who hold sways over the mANAGER.

Amble soaw

You seem to be contradicting yourself

You are telling me that Kenyon has NEVER been involved in any transfer activities at clubs, hmmmm Fishface

Also i said i don't fully understand the role of Director of Football, a lot of others have said it will destabilise the club, which it seemed to do at Spurs without doubt, does that answer your question? leatherhead.

Also i have not questioned as to whether Wise will unsettle KK others have skunkbreath!

Also i still haven't worked out are you for or against DOF? Dogturd
