alex arthur that fight was when 2003 in 2003 gomez could fight but it is 2008 this is lame fight..........in 2003 and he beat alex arthur who is alex arhtur? what has he done who
did he beat for that belt?

no shocks. This is a step back from even the limond fight FFS!!!
Frank just wants to leave ITV with a cushy little knockout in their last fight.
It just annoys me that he says Khan isn't ready for a title fight yet he puts him in with someone who is not even close to top level fighters.
I really hope Khan buggers off to Golden Boy and leaves Warren with nobody

They are not testing Khan in any way. Therefore it is pointless. Obviously Khan needs experience but you don't get that from fighting 18 of the same boxers. Orthodox Super Featherweights who don't come to fight. Teaches him nothing. Needs to go in against some southpaws, big bullys, or someone with a bit of agression and punching power.

Gomez is there personally for one last payday plain and simple not cos he wants to resurrect a boxing career. He has been carefully selected by Warren simply because he's a name who people know or have heard of and he has to put bums on seats to fulfill his contract

I for one hope gomez puts kahn on the seat of his pants! I think what he did to oliver harrison was a disgrace, not even having the decency to tell him face ot face! Fair enough there maybe better trainers out there but he deserved to be treated a little better because at the end of the day he hasn't done an awful lot wrong with kahn!
Gomez will be competitve in the first two rounds you never know he may land a few of his left hooks might shake Kahn up a bit!

If Gomez is in the same mind-set and condition as when he fought Arthur AND Khan is in the same condition and mind-set as when he fought Limond then Gomez will win.

But that's too many Ifs. Gomez is one of my fave boxers but size, age and styles will see Khan win in 5 probs with Gomez still on his feet complaining, having ploughed forward like a steam train all night.

LuckyRobbo, I pretty much agree with you. You have to laugh now as Khan is slating Harrison as he allegedly worked with Gomez in the build up to this fight, saying what sort of person Harrison must be to do this. Well, sacking your trainer with no discussion it could be said that shows what sort of a person you are. This is business mate, and Harrison would presumably need an income also? I hope Gomez can cause an upset, but I see another rendition of the Graham Earl fight.
