Queens:Dream final of the champions

Wimbledon
comment on the article

Whenever you hear Djokovic is going to take on Nadal on a tennis court regardless of the surface, you should expect an entertaining spectacle.
These talented two young players have all in their game right now to bring about wonders in tennis, they both are unbelievable shot-makers.
On top that, despite their very young age (22 for Rafa and 21 for Nole),these guys have tremendous mental strength.

Djoko's complete and all round game makes him usually favorite on hard court while on clay,Rafa has the edge.
However on grass, they only played once, and the conditions surrounding that match could not tell exactly about the power ratio. But for now,I would put Rafa slightly on top because he played already two wimbledon finals.
This year's grass season may tell more about who is better of the two.
Still, this week, both players have been in a very good form in Queens.

Rafa is very confident for the moment after his win in RG and against two big servers in Queens ("Eiffel tower" Karlovic and Roddick) but he might start feeling fatigue having played so many matches lately.
Nole would be looking for a revenge after his crash in Paris despite a brave and heroic fight,he has been impressive against Hewitt and Nalbandian,as well.
It will be particularly interesting to see how both players will be serving.Djoko is known to have a better serve but Rafa's serve have been the revelation in this tournament.
This is what Roddick had to say about it:
"I think the thing that helps him out the most as far as surface is the grass really helps out his serve. He (Nadal) gets kind of the lefty hook in there, it really stays low. If you leave a return hanging, he's very good at taking that first ball and hitting it. So I actually think his serve is a lot better on grass than it would be on a hard court or even a clay court for that matter.”

Both players will be looking for a first grass-court title in their young career.
That should make today's final even more interesting.

UPDATE:
Rafa has won the epic entertaining thrilling match 7/6 7/5.The article has absolutely been credited by the scenario full of suspense. That was a real preview of a Wimbledon final.
Both players performed incredibly at very high level.

In fact,Karlo and Roddick matches really helped Rafa who read so well Djokovic's serves and returned them effectively despite Djoko's pretty healthy 1st serve %.That factor along with the determination, the confidence and the aggressive attacking game helped Rafa secure his first grass-court title and silence his critics who say he is nothing off-clay.

As a matter of fact,Nadal has positioned himself with that win as the hot favorite for Wimbledon.

Let's only pray the draw will be favorable to all the tennis fans who enjoy watching fantastic matches so that djokovic could not be drawn in the safe half with Rafa.

I really cannot wait for a Rafa-Djokovic Wimbledon final.

Rafa is going to leave indelible impression on even grass court tennis. The way he played against Karlovic,Roddick and then Djakovic shows how much developed he is on grass.Rafa`s movement, shot making is superb. This time we are going to see a new wimbledon champion that is 'Rafa'.

Youall Federer haters are just so annoyed that even after a thrashing he received at the FO final Federer still comes back at you by winning Halle without dropping his serve! You guys were hoping Fed would loose in the early rounds at Halle, huh!? HAHA! Of course the field there is weaker than Queens, it has always been! But not sure I would ridicule the likes of Berdych, Blake, Baghdatis as they are very good players! smiley
But kudos to Nadal, he really has improved and I hope reaches the final vs. Fed!

PS. Do us all a favour and please don't support Rafa/Nole just because you are Fed haters, support then because you like what do they do on the tennis court!

chiggy i agree with your end point about supporting players because you like them rather than dislike their rivals. But you say Baghdatis, Blake and Berdych are good players and granted they are good players. But that's all they are. The fact is apart from Fed and Nadal only Djoko can upset the odds at Wimby this year. Nadal beat him when Djoko was playing probably his best tennis. Also don't forget Queens is quicker than Wimby which helps Nadal even more.

Federer hater comment was more directed towards the author stephrationa..or whatever the name is! smiley
As for Queens being quicker than Wimbledon, well I've heard all kinds of comparisons that Halle is too..etc! But who cares! The fact ramains that even in his worst year Fed is not going to go away, in fact you will find him playing in most finals and if/when he wins Wimbledon then you might see a one way traffic for the rest of the year!
About Rafa, he is doing pretty well, to win queens straight after FO is a hell of a feat and I hope he makes the final in 2 weeks time BUT PLEASE lets not make him the favourite..etc! Don't think even Rafa believes he is the fav! smiley It's gonna be a great Wimbledon I reckon!! Good luck to all three..

it amuses me to read comments about grass court tennis.
we have not had grass court tennis since w'don started planting rye grass.
it's just green clay with a fuzz!
no wonder rafa troubles fed on it.
it's a joke to think that raf, who i admire greatly, would beat fed on real canadian grass.
he would not cope with the speed and the low bounce.
even now i think that we will have a raf/fed final and it will go to fed in five tight sets.
IF rog can work through the trauma of his trouncing at rg.
i hope w'don officials read this and take it in
GET SOME REAL GRASS!!!!!

Chiggy, I'm a bit surprised with your comments. I read all the posts, even the author's, and they don't sound like Fed haters' comments. They're just normal personal (and objective, I should say) opinions. Yes, it's clear they're favouring Rafa. But it certainly doesn't border on hating Roger. And why on earth would you insist on people not making everyone else be the favourite, except for Roger? That sounds too pathetic, don't you think?
