Why the hostility towards Greece? They gave it a go in the second half and Italy this tournament have certainly been more attacking than their stereotyped image.

Russia's missed chances will cost them as they will now need to beat Sweden due to inferior goal-difference. If they scored 3 against Greece then a penalty shoot-out against Sweden if a draw happened would have been possible and if they scored four then a draw would of been enough for them to go through. But then again you can equally blame their bad defending against Spain when 3 preventable goals were conceded. I think Spain will be too strong for Romania but in the semi's when up against a good defence they will struggle and go out as always.

anyone know why they're playing games at the same time from today onwards? i've seen (at least part of) every game so far, and now i've got to decide which game to watch live. there's italy v france and holland v romania on tuesday (i think) which is going to be a really tough choice.

most of the leagues are pretty much decided now-barring mishaps, so why?????

Group of death is far from decided so is the Portugal and Spain one even the germans could still go out. Any way if say the romania beat holland in the 5 pm game then the Italy v France game would be a nothing game so this way it keeps it interesting

russia hit the post and the bar in the first half, so could have been 3-2.
russia did play some creative football in both matches, and have a great chance against sweden, should be the best match of the last games.
turkey have been very poor compared to thre past
poland were unlucky , and that penalty helps germany funny enough as all they need is a draw
i cant decide though who will win between portugal and germany

I don't know in all fairness to Turkey, in the second match they played in conditions that were not suiting them very well, ie driving rain and that pitch. They played better when it dried out, vs Switzerland, who are no mugs.

Also this Turkey team is pretty young in comparison to the ones that played so well in 2002 and not the most experienced either, especially in major tournaments.

Oh all of you UK people should be happy You didn't go to EurCup. Now that are are left at home you can spend your money on other things. Buy your ladies something fancy and spend an extra honeymoon. But honestly english played bad as in: each time they go to play against shit team they move slow and are very ignorant like if you can win without actually trying. So english didn't pass becausethey were ignorant and because Russia did play better than normally. Now football is getting bigger and bigger in Russia, now that the country is finally at stable economic rate the football is taking much of attention, as well as other sports. although russia doe snot play as good as wished they play better than i actually thought they would.
