the league!!!

Yeah right..

Honestly whats up with buying all these youngsters. I doubt he'll even feature much in the first eleven next season. We already have youngsters coming through like Randall and Lansbury. Our midfield is packed as it is and yet we're signing more midfielders.

"whats up with buying all these youngsters?"

Yh, lets do a Milan (Inter or AC, take your pick) and buy an over 30 squad for 100s of millions and win the CL 1 season, then do the same and rebuild the team 2 years later.

Some people are so short sighted they need glasses thicker than their heads.

We just got one of the brightest young talents, ahead of Man U and Everton, who really wanted to sign this kid, and you're complaining about it.

Sure he's no Ronaldinho, but he's not gonna be a bad player in a few years, and the transfer market opened like a few weeks ago, the Euro's and pre-season isn't even over yet. Wenger said he'd bring in a few, so be patient and stop whining, you come off as a dumbass.

funniest thing is when you read the Man Utd website claiming they had already signed him...Seems they "naturally" assume its always a done deal with them...

Now you have Man U fans bleating how cr$p he is...strange that

Ok im happy with our signing of Ramesy and he will be a big player for the future. I really hope we secure the signing of Samir Nasri after the Euros as he i think will be a great asset to our side. The board are saying Wenger has money if he needs it, i think they need to prove that and i dont see why we cant splash 40 million on David Villa, and offload Van Persie for 10 million.

>>If you look at SAF's and Wengers records in their first ten full seasons they are virtually identical. Give Wenger another 10 years then your point will be valid.

You’re saying Man Utd’s 10 premiership wins in 16 years aren’t valid??? Now you’re just being silly. And actually I said “Arsenal’s” record NOT “Wenger’s” record.

>>or are you one of these mancs that seem to be coming out the closet, changing a blue shirt for a red shirt in the last couple of years?

Love how you try to infer which team I support based merely on my handle. But for what it’s worth, Man Utd wore BLUE when they first won the European Cup in 1968. But being an Arsenal fan I wouldn’t expect you to know anything about European Cup success because you have none!

>>Either way Ramsey SNUBBED Man Utd as he knows SAF does not have the talent to turn him into a world class player unlike Wenger.

Historically speaking, whenever Man Utd have missed out on a big signing, they usually find somebody else who seems to work out just fine. For example, in 1992 Utd missed out on Shearer so they bought Cantona instead. That seemed to turn out OK. Then in 1996 they missed out on Shearer again so they bought some unknown Norwegian called Ole Solksjaer instead. Again, that worked out pretty well. Then in 2003 they missed out on Ronaldinho so they bought a young Portuguese kid called Ronaldo and….. well I guess we all know about him. So I guess my point is that I’m not going to lose too much sleep over missing out on this Ramsey fella. But it’s pretty hilarious that you think so. Must try harder little boy

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thing is mate, it's swings and roundabouts here isn't it. If Ramsey had chosen Man U over Arsenal, you'd be all smug and rubbing salt into the wound so to speak. Deny it all you want, but it is the truth.

No doubt Ferguson is a truly world-class manager, but so is Wenger. It's difficult to compare the success of one against the other. Fergie has been consistently sucessful and of course has back-to-back titles, the treble and the champions league under his belt which Wenger does not. But, then Wenger has had nowhere near as much money. He spends less than even Spurs and Liverpool do yearly.

Can't believe all these Arsenal fans calling for us to sell Robin Van Persie. One unlucky season with injuries and you wana hang him out to dry, incredible! He is potentially the best striker in Europe. He was unlucky last season that is all, and Wenger admitted that it was partly his fault! He can also play wide left quite comfortably which is a position we are short in right now, so we need him. He is a player who can create a goal out of absolutely nothing. You hear about all these quality strikers that can only score goals if the service is right. RVP is one a few players that can create an opportunity by himself. You've got to be absolutely mad to let him go. I'd love to see David Villa at Arsenal, but personally I wouldn't want us to spend £30 odd million on him and nor would I want to sacrifice RVP either. I think up-front we are solid. If we sign Nasri and keep Hleb, all we need is a world-class keeper and a solid, no nonsense centre-back. In the words of Gordon Ramsey...done!!

P.S. The one player we do need to offload is Philippe Senderos, I cannot understand why Wenger rates him so highly! Djourou and Song are way more reliable at the back in my opinion, and both of them started out as central midfielders!!

I don't thimk anyone posting here realises quite how good Ramsey is. If you'd seen him play, you wouldn't moan that Arsenal have signed him...

In Arsene we trust. thats good enough for me. I f I just hope we lose eboue as he is disgustingly excess to the squad now. and bring in Villa, hes pure class. Plus the only actual statement ive read from him is that he admires AW and likes the way arsenal play, plus cesc and him are boys so hopefully they can persuade him.
