Can the Lakers catch the Celtics?

comment on the article

Boston now lead the best-of-seven NBA finals series 3-1 and can wrap up the championship on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Can the Lakers pull it around?

Having watched the divisional finals whilst in the States last month it was always going to be the Celtics. IMO both Boston and Detroit would have been too strong for either the Lakers or Spurs, as proved by the quality gulf in the two sets of games.

To be honest the Celtics only lost game 3 because Rondo went off injured in the third when the Lakers were there to be picked off and PP and KG just didn't show. Oh and Kobe scored 36 points....

Still I fancy the Lakers to take it back to Boston with a tight win on Sunday night

No team has ever came back from 3-1 down, and when you take this seasons Lakers they really don't stand much of a chance! Paul Pierce has stopped LeBron and now Kobe in the playoffs this season. The lakers are a couple of players short of being a great team!

the celtics will win on sunday once the refs dont call those cheeky calls, but i just feel the big three just got to forget about the pain and think ring and go for it

Obviously not because KG plays for the Celtics and he's a Chelsea fan.

The Lakers have a strong team but this dificit is too big. I thought the Celtics really stepped it up when they needed to in game 4. Pierce was superb, defending Kobe Bryant but i think the MVP of the finals is Ray Allen. He has provided the consistency and taken the opened three shots when needed.

Dont think the Lakers bench is strong enough - celtic's bench has performed when needed and more importantly at clutch moments in Q4 of the last game.
I think the la la's will win tonight, but C's to tie it up in game 6.

I'm with Patriotlsh - Ray Allen for MVP. Allen and KG have been a little absent offensively at times, but Ray has been consistent from start to finish, played 48 mins in G4 and his play against Vujacic showed the qualities of a leader.

That said, Celtic's defence won game 4 - and that was a real team effort. Kobe drove the lane a number of times and had to flip it out rather than take the layup.

4-2 Celtics

I expect Boston to tie it up tonight. I think the MVP is still up for grabs between Pierce and Allen. I think Pierce shades it after his game 5 performance even if though it was to no avail.
