Thursday's Euro 2008 action

Euro 2008
comment on the article

Maybe it's just because I've had three days away, but I'm uncommonly excited about today's action. Germany v Croatia is first up, which could decide who tops Group B. Depending on the result in that game, Austria or Poland, who play in the late game, could join Switzerland on the Euro 2008 scrapheap.

You can follow the action for Germany v Croatia here:

And then Austria v Poland here:

"OH Im corrected, so Germany have only been awarded 3 finals then?????????
thats ok is it.."

I'm not saying it's OK. In fact, if they can award the Euros to underachieving countries like Austria and Switzerland, and the World Cup to a country as vast as the USA, I can't see any problem with Scotland and Ireland playing co-hosts (and I'm English!)

Happymate, true the Brits won the battles but it's the Indians who won the war. They're dominating all aspects of british lives, even the crickets. As for the Scots, try and get into a championship by merit not by hosting a c'ships. That's for weaker countries who cannot meet the qualifying standards. Like Austria, Swiss, England and Lichenstein. And Macedonia and Israel.
One thing these countries got in common is that they all play the 'kick and rush, cross and hope' brand of football.

Need I say more?

Cheers!

Not possible the way the draw pans out. The winners and runners up of group C and D meet each other in the quarter finals AND semis. I don't know why UEFA changed it, but there you go.
