alan shearer says noPremier League by dougierovers (U9885832) 11 June 2008 so fellow rovers fans big al officially says no to the job. well leaves us with big sam, maclaren, [both unthinkable] ince etc and the one im hoping for dick advocatt. He is the man to take us forward. so what do we think of shearer saying no? personally i think i he's holding out for the newcastle job. Realistically though if he wants to go into management it should be the sooner the better for his sake. I would have been pleased to see him back at ewood but perhaps he should do an ince and start at lower levels. Ideally though it would be great to him as our new managers no2. anyway enough waffling as im shattered, where do we go now?? Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

quickjohnnyred (U10810016) posted Jun 13, 2008 shearer had his chance at Newcastle to learn about management but bottled out,so he is not going to change his mind now.He is like most of the so ,called experts on the tv,no hopers. I wish Blackburn all the best in getting a new manager, lets hope their heads rule and not get caught out with bad ideas.

quickjohnnyred (U10810016) posted Jun 13, 2008 just remember that mcclaren took middlesbrough to a Carling cup win and two years in the uefa cup, getting into the final.Has for the England job he could only play those players he was left with,it was the press that got rid of him, when he tried to bring in new players, but the new England manager is now doing this, with the same players maclaren wanted.I would say to Blackburn that mcclaren is worth a try.

Ohound (U5480169) posted Jun 14, 2008 Shearer is a bottler when it comes to management. Good player does not =good manager and he knows that-why do you think Hansen has never become a manager-for all his analysis he knows that it takes more than that-wish Shearer had taken the reins at Newcastle just to show them how lucky they were to have big sam

roverich (U7202273) posted Jun 15, 2008 McClaren is absolutely useless. How can anyone try to defend him over his failures with the England squad. We are talking about a squad which boasted 8 players starting the Champions League final! If he can't even qualify them for the Euro's he doesn't deserve to coach schoolkids!
