Live - Euro 2008 day five

comment on the article

If there was a way of slowing down time, I think I'd use it right about now. Welcome, to day five of the 2008 European Championship.

I trust there's been enough to whet your appetite thus far? I'm thinking Lukas Podolski's thumping finish, the Netherlands' delightful second and third goals, David Villa's cracking treble and Zlatan Ibrahimovic's bolt from the blue.

Not forgetting the controversy caused by Ruud van Nistlerooy's opener as the Dutch thrashed Italy 3-0.

Today, we've got Czech Republic v Portugal and hosts Switzerland v Turkey. Someone could already be out of the tournament tonight.

Let the fun continue.

Hello there, almost 5 months since this article has seen a post, it was a good tournament, with thrills and spills, probably mainly becuase England didn't particapate, but who knows? Well at the end, Spain won with that Torres goal. Bye.
