Bulls lose Morrison for season

Bulls fans - just as you thought it couldn't get any worse...

From Bradford T & A :

Injury-hit Bulls have been dealt another massive blow - Glenn Morrison will be out for the rest of the season.

The hugely influential Aussie was delivered the shock news yesterday evening after it was discovered he had ripped a quad muscle away from the bone.

Morrison has missed two games after suffering what was believed to be a dead leg against Leeds, although just last week he spoke about hopefully being fit for the weekend's match with Catalans.

However, once swelling around his knee finally subsided, serious damage was revealed and a specialist confirmed the loose forward had both torn a quad and broken part of his kneecap.

Jinxed Morrison, 32, has already bounced back from major shoulder surgery and knee ligament damage but now faces another operation to re-attach the muscle along with three months in a leg brace.

It's always difficult when a club loses a player to a season-ending injury for both parties this has happened to several players including our own Rich Horne & Rich Whiting. Agar is all for using their skills & keeping them involved which means they feel less isolated while recuperating.

From the super league website:

"Struggling Bradford Bulls are set to give engage Super League debuts to youngsters Kieran Hyde and Keal Carlile at St Helens on Friday night.

Bulls coach Steve McNamara has included the 18-year-old part-timers in his 19-man squad after hooker Terry Newton (shoulder), prop Andy Lynch (back) and winger Tame Tupou (knee) joined the club’s mounting injury list."

No Newton or Lynch now... we're gonna lose so bad on Friday!

Rlfan,

Your entitled to your opinion and i respect that.

Yes i am big headed on 606. Im big headed on purpose. And why not be big headed anyway? One day Leeds will get hurt, this may come from losing a final or by getting a thrashing, when it does you guys have the right to laugh at me and sing and dance. But to be honest i wont give a rats ass!!

I started supporting the Rhinos in yr 2000. As you may know Leeds lost a CC final at Murrayfield that same year. In 2001 and 2002 we underachieved. In 2003 we lost a CC final to our nearest rivals again. Also in 2003 we were top of the league for 95% of the season and Bulls nicked top stop from us after we lost our last game away to Cas. Walking away from the Jungle had the same feeling as in 2000 and 2003 CC final loses, because it was like losing a final. We went on to get knocked out in the play offs against Wigan. Pure heartache in 2003! 2004 we won the GF everyone thought the tide had turned but in 2005 we had a repeat of 2003. Lost the CC final AGAIN for the 3rd time in 5 years and then went onto lose the GF to guess who...bradford bulls. 2006 was same as 2001 & 2002 underachieved. 2007 was our year and so far 2008 is our year.

After having so much heartache i have a right to enjoy the moment and remind you lot who the Champions are.

Just a month ago some 606 members said i was been arrogant and that i was been big headed when i clearly wasnt, because of that im going to be big headed until the Rhinos get knocked off their reign, which will be a few years yetbiggrin

I reckon Saints would have swapped the Challenge Cup and the League Leaders shield for the Grand Final win. Anyone get through to the Challenge Cup Final - Wakey effectively have to win one game to get there. And before you have a go i'm not a Leeds fan.
