Carvahlo - I want to work with Mourinho

Chelsea
comment on the article

Peice in the press today stating that Riccy would like to work with JM again

Although he still states he has a contract at Chelsea (we all know what they're worth mind)

If he goes is Alex good enough to step up as No1 CB with jt ?

Or do we buy to replace, bearing in mind we have Bosingwa & Ivanovic now ?

I'd be gutted if Carvalho left. He'd be incredibly difficult to replace. I haven't seen anything of Ivanovic or Macienne yet, but they'd have very big boots to fill. We'd certainly need a replacement though, Alex and Terry are too similar (big and slow) to play together at the top level.

Is Alex good enough to be no 1 cb with JT? I'd be more worried about JT, I think Carvalho has been proven to be covering for JT quite a lot and Terrys never the same player when Carvalho isnt in the side.

Clubs must realise that in the same way that Chelsea are sometimes held to ransom and pay over the odds for players, that (and I don't mean this arrogantly) we have no need financially to sell players.

----------------------------------------------

Unfortunately for Chelsea Roman's wealth works against them when both buying and selling. They'll get shafted when buying players, and can afford to absorb massive losses on players when selling, and prospective buyers know this.

I think Carvalho is a quality player and will be a massive loss for Chelsea. Chelsea fans might disagree but i've forgotten the amount of times Carvalho has had to cover John Terry's mistakes and lack of pace over the years, and i've not seen anything from Alex to suggest he can do the same. Maybe the Serbian lad will be better once he's fit.

Carvalho one of our most prized possessions .I think if scolari takes charge then we could see him stay. But i know JM willl bust a gut for his talents. So we be left with Bosewinga, Alex, Ivanovic is this enough or do we need a replacement a.s.a.p if he goes

If he decides to go then we have JT, Alex, Ivanovic and Mancienne with Ofori-Twumasi in a few years time. Sorry, TBH just doesn't do it for me, never has.

But has anyone found the full interview with the questions he was asked? Because it makes a massive difference to the meaning of what he says. For instance, he might have been asked "How would you like to be managed by Mourinho again?". In that context, the answer he gave would have been just about all he could say, i.e. I'd like that, but I have 4 years on my contract left at Chelsea.

Carvahlo makes Terry look good, he wouldn't be anywhere without Carvahlo I for one being a UNITED! fan feel he is very under-rated. In terms of him leaving, well he is 30 but he's still so good with Terry and they have finally formed a real olid partnership (apart from when terry's injured that is...) so I'd want him to stay defo.

Hilarious! You obviously have no idea what's going on at your own club... I'd bet Ricci is still at the Bridge next season. Not so sure Adebayor or Hleb will still be at the Emirites though.

Carvalho is the best footballing defender in Britain and one of the best in the World. He will stay if Scolari comes to Chelsea as he will see this as a challenge to play under him and continue winning, but aside from that I think Jose holds the aces. If Chelsea get Deco which again depends on scolari coming then Ricci will definitely stay. We will be o.k. despite the doomsday merchants in dull north London. Scolari will lead us to the promised land!!!
