Greece v Sweden.

Okay, so BOTH of these teams aren't exactly the most gifted in the flair department. It was a bit of a clash of styles and it was always going to take a lucky (or brilliant) shot or set piece goal to break the deadlock.

BUT, wasn't it refreshing to see a game not full of fairies diving all over the place?? It was for me.

ekpodo - read my post. For all his arrogance and laziness, I am an Ibrahimovic FAN. And I believe I spotted the smoke and mirrors surrounding Rooney's status before many other people did (before WC2006).

Zlatan is never in a game fore hi's personal goal-rating's he is there fore the team to win,
Let's see, The last 4 year's champion serie-A before that champion with Ajax. And Sweden have qualificated to every mayor tournament the last 8 year's thank's very mutch to a certain Zlatan.

The only thing I know is that poor Ibra had only few chances to score because Kyrgiakos played very well and managed to keep him away. There was only one shot by him in the match and that went in.What a lucky man?

agree a lot with you. It's a great shame on those English-fan's who jump on some hate-wagon against, maybee the greatest footboller ever the SuperCenterHeavy-Tank Rooney, he is a very important reason that ManU is Champion!!

Zlatan is brilliant…but not always. However, it is hardly a secret he has not scored as often with Sweden as with his clubs (Many would argue is far better domestic leagues then Champion League matches). It is quite obvious that this is something he wants to change and this could be the start of that.
Zlatan is a council estate kid who grew up with very little material belongings. Rich and fame can be tricky for anyone. His attitude has definitely mellowed in recent years. For many Swedish council estate kids who are not exactly blond & blue eyed, he is a superstar. I am not going to say he is the Swedish Zedaine, but something like that.

I see Kyriakos lay on the ground looking for a foul as Sweden scored the second! Seem to remember he was always keen to go to ground easily when playing in the SPL.
I was hoping Greece would make a game of it but instead they treated us with there lacklustre anti football. Poor Samaras looked lost!

greece were shhh.

They are better than that, but it serves them right for playing anti football. THey didnt gt 31 points in the group qualifiers by playing like that , so why in the tournament against an average side like Sweden.

Complancency and disrespectul towards their opponent, and they were rightly punished. They wont go through , and on that performance, they embarassed alot of greece supporters and neutrals..

You got to laugh at these jokers who say Ibrahimovic is one of the best players in the world. He goes missing in big games, he's one of hundreds of good, not great, strikers in the world

Hold on Sweden not gifted, well they can beat England when it matters (thats not too hard). The Swedes always try and play football, Greece well not sure what it was but in the first hald it wasn't football and they deserved too lose. Ibrahimovich's goal has to be the best of the tournament.

Yes, there wasn't no rolling around which was good to see.
