Can injured Tiger Woods still perform?

comment on the article

With Tiger Woods suffering from a knee injury, can he realistically win the US Open?

Yes, definitely, because when I have an injury, knee or back, I play the best golf ever.
BUT Thats because I swing within myself though, and is not the same situation as the pros.!!!!
I guess depends how long the course is for tee shots, to get in birdie range with second shot, and how tight the fairway is at those points.

after i read this , Ive put a bet on he misses cut at 8-1.

hope you guys know what your talking about, who say he'll miss cut, and its not a case of not seeing the woods for the trees

and i also put

This guy is a pro. He may miss the cut coz his game is off not becoz of the knee. Name a player who is really on top of their game right now. Tiger Woods.

Tiger seems to be a bit rusty after this lenghthy layoff-but that doesn't mean he is going to go to that low to miss the cut. He may not win, but definitely finish in the top five. The first three or four holes will tell where he is going to end up.

Wait until Friday evening, then you'll know if Woods can manage smiley

Having a slightly dodgy knee won't be as bad as Adam Scott's injured finger I am sure.

Tiger Woods can do anything believe me he will probably win the US Open as he won the open when his dad died just 8 weeks before so I don't see a knee injury which is good enough to play so I don't think it will effect him. He is the GOAT - Greatest Of All Time

gumballgoofman, I am not an idiot I am quite aware this is the golf page what I mean is how many articles are we going to have about Tiger's knee operation and whether he can win.
Puddlestinker, how hard is it to copy a name correctly?
That is all.

Woods is the best ever, but this may be the one time I ever back someone else to win - Mickelson. He's a local & he loves the course. On the other hand if Tiger is in the lead after 54 holes then bets are off. This one could be too soon after his knee operation & lack of practice may lead to rustiness. He's likely to prove me wrong though & I'll gladly applaud him for it if he does applause
