A Great Result for DC

Formula One
comment on the article

Just to change the subject a little. It was good to see DC on the podium today after his run of bad luck. He kept it together in difficult race conditions and had a great drive. There's been a few rumours that DC might retire at the end of the season or go elsewhere, but I for one hope that this will be the real start to his season and keep him in F1 for a while longer. It might also show that his years of experience paid off today.

Well done DC.

Oh, should have added to back up what I said above, regardless of LH and KR not being in the majority of the race, DC still finished well ahead of both a Ferrari and a McLaren in the standings in a car that is FAR inferior to both of those.

DC's been consistently slower than Webber in both qualifying and racing this year and the competitive teams aren't interested in Webber. Coulthard is past it.

Good drive but the result had more to do with the failings of others than Coultard's brilliance.

As it would have to be. The Redbull is not a podium car but DC did the absoloute maxmimum possible and was always one of the quickest cars on the track after the sc. A thoroughly deserved podium, without the Barrichello train would have been second.

Oh come on. In one report today DC's achievement was mentioned only in the last three lines. He's a great British driver. Imagine the coverage if Jenson Button was on that podium...

David Coulthard, its great to see you back where you deserve to be on the podium. One of the very best Grand Prix drivers the UK has ever had,now not with an obvious winning team but driving better than ever.Wouldn't it be absolutely wonderful if he could win at Silverstone,or even a place on the podium.Fantastic !

Well done DC it was a well deserved podium and he managed to finish in front of both a Ferrari and a McLaren.

It is also a time for him to reflect on a long and good time for him to reflect on his achievements in F1. 15 years is a long time to remain competitive in a sport.

Well Done DC
