Jdirectfromspain (U4659979) posted Jun 6, 2008 Good call Levethian (U4542341), that final at Wimbeldon rested on one point and was an awesome spectacle. But those Rafa haters have to admit he's maturing, he's so concentrated. And were people yawning when Borg won it four times? Let's hope for a nail chomping final on Sunday. ¡Ole tus huevos Nadal!

tennisdoubledee (U8562728) posted Jun 6, 2008 Rafa blew Nole away, great tennis. Fed 'took care of Gael", like a true champion. Yes Rafa is huge favourie, and i expect him to win, and i'm a Fed fan. BUT i disagree that Rafa is closing in on Fed, on anything but clay Fed has a clear advantage over Rafa. Nole is far closer on other surfaces.

TonyfromLondon (U11902343) posted Jun 7, 2008 Tim is history and we don't talk about something in the past. Don't think Tim would ever get close to the QF if he hasn't retired. You need to move on and talk about the active players.

redhotbed (U11330067) posted Jun 7, 2008 nadal is playing amazingly on clay, but i just hav a feeling federer will win in 5 sets, in monte carlo every1 was expecting nadal to blow federer away, but he was close to winin d first set n den won d second, so, if he takes his chances on sunday, then i think he will hav d only grand slam eluding him, n i hope he dus win it cos im a massive fed fan and he wud be considerd d gr8st if he wins it (if he isnt already)

TonyfromLondon (U11902343) posted Jun 7, 2008 Fed wants the RG title while Nadal is craving for a Grand Slam title other than RG. Why don't Nadal just let Fed wins this year's RG and Fed does the same for Wimbledon. Whichever way both Fed and Nadal keep their world no. 1 & 2 title respectively. It's a win-win situation here.

flashyk (U1650852) posted Jun 7, 2008 There is still only one player on Clay who can actually threaten Rafael Nadal, and that is Roger Federer, he has the talent, the shot-making and the game to give Nadal a hell of a fight, and arguably can beat him. The fact that he hasn't done so more often than the once is probably more down to the unforced errors against Nadal, both when he was in winning leads in each sets in both Monte Carlo and Hamburg. I believe Federer's best chance is to still adapt a serve-volley style attack and use sharp forehand returns, because playing from the baseline, there's only one winner, and Nadal doesn't change his style. Its a big ask for Federer to win it, but should he get a lightning fast start like he did when winning the first set 6-1 in the 2006 final, he's gotta relax and just play 'his' game and not get too excited and tense up, because Nadal will just take him apart with his relentlessness.
