Nice! I wonder why the USPGA have decided to use such a great group?

Also, we have Rose, Els and Ogilvy being paired together. I can't wait for next week!!

I don't like this engineering of the draw, certainly not in a major. Randomness and luck of the draw is part of the fun of sport. I don't suppose golf pairings or tee times have ever been completely random (in fact I'd be interested to know how this is done in regular tour events if anyone knows). But I think this is taking things too far.

As a spectator on the course it can be a lot more pleasant to have the best players scattered around the course rather than one group getting swamped by a huge gallery. It's going to be even more of a circus than it usually is with Tiger and no doubt we'll have very little TV coverage of the other players while they're on the course.

I will say it once and only once more, Scott is so damn average. Please tell me this guy is not the number three player in the world, how can this possible be. A great golf swing but for some reason he just never ever seems to perform come the majors. I actually cant believe there were ever comparisons between this guy and Greg Norman.

Norman may have only won two majors (though won some 90 other tournaments including world match plays and the players championship) but he contended in literally every second major he played it whether that was in the British Open, Augusta, or whatever came his way. Scott does not even contend in these tournaments let alone win.

I simply cant understand his ranking of 3, the biggest underachiever in the game. I am simply baffled. He will probably lead after day one and will finish somewhere around tied for 30th down the middle of the field Sunday.

Tiger and Phil are proven winners despite the latter having a few dodgy last minute calamities, however even in these cases he was in contention to win.

Its not that I dont like Scott, so much talent but he has never proved himself come major time!!!

I don't know what pace Toms plays at, but putting Sabatini and Montgomerie together is surely inviting both of them to explode due the endless waiting they'll probably endure waiting on the tees and fairways waiting for them to clear.

JB Holmes, Bubba Watson and Wetterich playing together.
Coincidence? Not likely.

Poulter, Casey, Donald as a threesome. Another coincidence?

This is stupid because if a player is grouped with someone he despises, he can only assume it's intentional.

Good job Elk's not qualified, they'd've put him with Watson. Surprised Ben Crane isn't in with Monty and Roary.

Very mixed feelings here. Lots of speculation that the Woods/Mick/Scott threesome will logjam the course.

Frankly, there'll be a lot of second-guessing on this and, altho such contrived groupings will make for great theatre, I reckon there'll be negative repercussions.

We'll see!!!!

probably good for the rest of the field as they will have far less distractions to deal with. big mistake though as there will be an enormous rabble of people around that one group. i will be there on Thurs and will prob have to ignore the Woods group

myers, I had the privelege of marshalling adam scott as he shot his EASY 61 final round to win the Qatar Masters in January. I haven't spent the day with ether Woods or Mick, but have with Els, Singh, Goosen and a host of other 'names'. Adam was absolute class that day. he could have played blindfold and would have still gone round in par, he was as relaxed as I've ever seen a golfer. I'd wager he's there to stay.

If Scott is so damn average, then why is he number 3 in the world? The picture perfect swing will win him a major one day.
