Good news for Federer fans

French Open

My inner instincts say that Federer will finally win the French Open this year. I dont know who he will beat and how. But for sure this is Federers year at Roland Garros.

I think it would be easier to beat Nadal than Djokovic. Novak will be a tricky opponent, because he beat Federer at the previous GS and would have beaten Nadal in the previous Round.

Come June 8th, French Open will have a new champion. The All Time Greatest player from Switzerland ROGER FEDERER.

Thats true, and at the end of the day, he is still the best on clay so he is taking advantage of his opportunities. We are a bit spoiled at the moment because Djoko and Rafa are gonna soon be playing against Feds at the twilight of his career. Nobody goes on for ever. Thats the only thing that is going to give those 2 a chance on the other surfaces, however I still like the way Feds is playing at RG this year. I am not a Federer disciple, I just love watching great tennis and we are getting spoiled here this week.

I agree totally.

Can't wait for the battles coming up between these three guys over the next few days and i hope Monfils gets through to the semis for some added spice, at his best Federer is unstoppable on any other surface.

I had the pleasure of watching Federer v Roddick Australia 07 live, no-one can play better than that, Federer was in another world!

I'm a big Djokovic fan, i think he's the future ok

Yeah I also have a soft spot for Djoko. Many people here dislike him, but all I see is a tremendous player, with a sharp sense of humour who is regularly applauding other players on court when they hit great shots against him. Any chance of our Andy joining the party and giving us even more to look forward to? I am almost ducking already at the thought of the responses hahahaha

About as much chance as Federer winning RG winkeye

Nah but seriously, what is Murrays problem? Novak (who I'm a huge fan of btw) & Nadal are absolute streets ahead of him despite being similar ages.

Then you have Tsonga, Gasquet & Almagro who are better than him, if I have to hear (and I can guarentee I will) one more bloody interview from Sue Barker at Wimbledon asking an ex pro ie Mcenroe or Connors if Murray can qin a grand slam I'm going to go nuts.

lol I do think Andy has more talent than most but i dont think he's up there with Djokovic though i think he's a future top five and maybe Wimbledon champ someday but thats a big maybe. If Monfils can figure out his game he could also be dangerous in the future, i also think Gulbis is a name to watch out for as is Tsonga, and Ancic will be dangerous on the grass ok

To be honest he does have a very cocky side to him (constantly nodding his head in self approval as he crushed Federer in australia as if to say ''thats how it's done'' and then claiming it was only his lack of killer instinct which allowed federer to beat him at the US and also claimed federer struggled with his returns in that match in australia solely because of how well he served).

To be honest Federer is also cocky, both are very good at being respectful to the rest of the field but it can be difficult when you always defeat them!

To be honest i like Novaks cockiness (it helps his belief), his personality and his game, a great all round sportsman

Nadal however is very modest ok

Monfils has just taken the third set and leads 2:1. Good effort by the young lad, and great for the French fans who are superb.

This could be the young mans coming of age, i hope it is.

He's struggled in the mens tour relative to the other talents in his age group (including Murray lol)
