He will definitely be playing a part. As a commentator I expect.

It is a shame he won't be playing because he has always been a great competitor and a superb team player. His experience would have brought an extra dimension to the team and they will be the weaker for it. If I was Faldo I would ask him to come in an advisory role of some sort...

Let's get real!! Monty's record in the Ryder Cup is second to none, he has never failed to produce in the competition. Any american stepping onto the first tee with Monty will be at a psychological disadvantage straight away.

Colin will definately be in Faldo's team, not because of his current form but only on his past exploits, it is too big a risk for Faldo to leave him out, if it goes pearshaped, it will be the same old moans, why leave out such an experienced player. If he is picked and plays poorly Faldo has to fend off the whingers on why pick a player so out of form. Faldo is in a no win situation, he can only pray that Monty turns it on when the chips are down. So far he has never failed to delivwer in these situations. Who else would you pick?
