Ancelotti out of Chelsea job running

Premier League Chelsea
comment on the article

Ancelotti has clearly said he does not want to be the next Chelsea Manager, here is what happend about Ancelotti abd Chelsea in the past few days...

Saturday 31st May 2008:
AC Milan have rejected approach from Chelsea to talk to Coach Carlo Ancoletti about taking th vacant Chelea Manager job after Avram Grant got sacked on Saturday 24th May, Ancelotti has been incharge at the San Siro since 2001 and it looks like AC Milan don't want him to go anywhere yet.

"(Chelsea) asked for our permission and naturally everything stopped there," Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani told the club's website.

"He and another Italian coach were at the top of Chelsea's list."

The other Italian coach is understood to be Roberto Mancici, who was dismissed by Inter Milan despite leading the club to three successive Serie A titles.

It is also thought Blackburn's Mark Hughes and Portugal's Luis Felipe Scolari are among those on Chelsea's shortlist.

Ancelotti, 48, joined Milan from Juventus in 2001 and has since won Serie A once (2004) and the Champions League twice (2003, 2007).

As a player, Ancelotti helped the Rossoneri to two Serie A and two Champions League titles. In 2007, he signed two-year contract extension to keep him at Milan until 2010.

"Ancelotti is very happy at Milan. Milan don't sell their players, let alone the coach," Galliani told Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

"There are no offers. Ancelotti is Milan coach, and we are going to continue forward together."

In 2007, he signed two-year contract extension to keep him at Milan until 2010.

Galliani added: "The fact that our coach is sought after and esteemed pleases me a lot but Carlo Ancelotti will remain Milan's coach."

Monday 2nd June 2008:
Now Chelea are denying they are holding talks with Ancelotti

On Saturday Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said they had turned down a Chelsea request to hold talks with the 48-year-old Ancelotti.

But the Blues said in a statement: "Chelsea has not reached agreement with any individual to become manager.

"Nor have we sought permission from any organisation to talk to their manager."

Tuesday 3rd June 2008:
And now Ancelotti is ruled out of the job after saying he wants to stay at AC Milan.

Ancelotti said: "I'm staying at AC Milan for sure, and for many seasons to come," said the 48-year-old Italian in a statement.

"There has been no agreement with Chelsea. They are just rumours, the same ones that come up every year."

Wednesday 4th June
Mark Hughes becomes new Man City Manager so he is out of the running for this job too!

So now Ancelotti is out of the running, who is going to be the next Chelsea Manager?

New Chelsea manager is SCOLARI.
I think it has been decided and agreed for several months already. That explains at least two things:
1. Waiting until the end of Euro 08 before public announcement;
2. The recent signing of Bosingwa (Portugal left wing defender)
I think Chelsea management know what they are doing and sacking of AG (my respect to him) was pre-determined since lonf time

From a Milan fan -
Im not much of a Chelsea supporter; but I do agree the way they played in the Champions; they well deserved it all. However changing the manager again means changing strategies which means players again need to mould themselves. Players are meant to be volatile but this is extremes...!! However ,in future terms I firstly would rather want to stop Carvalho, and Ashley Cole from going to Inter IF the rumors are right. It can be very well be done by showing integrity in Chelsea again - Sign Mancini and do a swap deal for Drogba and Lampard with Ibra as Mourinho fancies them so much. Shouldnt be impossible as I cant figure out how could Drogba and Ibras attitude and character get along well. Bringing Ibra to Chelsea would be one of the finest deals for the year prolli, and that could defntly give some hope for other players that Chelsea will still do it. Sheva and Ibra alongside sounds pretty neat as well..!! Get another playmaker maybe Quaresma; and thats it; they are ready for whatever..!! And thats NOT a lot of spending and loosing as well...!! You lost 2 players and you gained 2 quality players. It really doesnt look like a big issue then hey ?

I actually think that Peter Kenyon is the dark one in the whole chelsea set up.
Man Utd dont let people go if they are so vitally important and if Kenyon left Man Utd just for the money then it kind of shows why Chelsea are having these problems. If the guys at the top are willing to sell their soul for a few grand a week then why should Lampard and co stay. Personally I think they are behaving as badly as Real Madrid / Man City and all the other teams that go short term glory hunting. Whoever they get at these clubs I hope they shaft the clubs financially because you can guarantee loyalty isnt a prerequisite to success anymore.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Ancelotti altogether as its known his boss Burlusconi loves a euro.

Everybody has a price, do you?
