drienzie (U12129801) posted Jun 5, 2008 The match lost its edge due to poorest test umpiring for ages. Russel Tippin giving 3 WRONG decisions in 4 balls. I can find it hard to forgive it over a test match but in 4 balls? His umpiring really was diabolical. I can see after the Bucknor fiasco in Australia, now there was so much less coverage over such blatant mistakes. Please remove him from the Elite panel and start using hawkeye to see WHERE the balls pitch and hit the pads. However if it is proven to be in line or not, then the umpire not hawkeye then determines if the batsman is out. Another Symonds act of gamesmenship too brough the game into disrepute. Was nice to see Brett Lee get a taste of his own medicine!!!! Comment on this article |
