WI vs Oz, Second Test, Antigua

International Tests West Indies

After a hard-fought first Test at Sabina Park, Australia prevailed to take a 1-0 lead in the three-Test series. How will the second Test at North Sound turn out?

This is the first time a Test match is being played at the Viv Richards stadium. The venue hosted some ODIs during the World Cup, but it's never been tested over five days. Will it break up, or will it be the batting paradise as its now-out-of-use neighbour, the ARG?

Paceman Jerome Taylor comes back into the side at the expense of spinner Amit Jaggernauth, after missing the first Test through injury. Will Chris Gayle be fit enough to play instead of out-of-form Brenton Parchment?

Matthew Hayden will take part in the tour, which means that Simon Katich will have a prolonged spell as opening batsman. But Australia will welcome Michael Clarke back into the middle order, probably at the expense of Brad Hodge.

Can the Windies pull one back, or will the Aussies seal the series this weekend?

Hard to believe that both had averages of below 40 vs WI. Maybe this will change in this series for Shiv.

Well, the Aussies did have the best bowlers in the world for the past decade....

MacGill on now. He should be a lot more relaxed, now that he's announced his retirement.

I had this silly thought in my mind. What if MacGill goes wicketless in this last test? Should he have waited until he had a couple of wickets?

Well, there it is. He has bagged a prize wicket.

Let's see how much support Shiv could get from the fragile lower order batting.

What a great match!

It had the controversy of umpiring decisions, great batting from Shiv, a good allround performance from Pup, fantastic bowling by Lee....

I think a draw was a fair result.

Very good test, mike. This is turning into an excellent series. That was some captain's knock by Sarwan. Chanderpaul didn't have to play a lone hand.

Win against SA, Win against Sri Lanka and now a draw against Oz. Things are looking up for the Windies.

Good to see the Aussies struggling to bowl out sides, now fat lad and pigeon are gone!

The match lost its edge due to poorest test umpiring for ages. Russel Tippin giving 3 WRONG decisions in 4 balls. I can find it hard to forgive it over a test match but in 4 balls? His umpiring really was diabolical. I can see after the Bucknor fiasco in Australia, now there was so much less coverage over such blatant mistakes. Please remove him from the Elite panel and start using hawkeye to see WHERE the balls pitch and hit the pads. However if it is proven to be in line or not, then the umpire not hawkeye then determines if the batsman is out. Another Symonds act of gamesmenship too brough the game into disrepute. Was nice to see Brett Lee get a taste of his own medicine!!!!
