League Two Wycombe Wanderers

So what do people think to this appointment?

I would say I am happy as he has been successful at this level and the league above, with four promotions with three teams (Brighton, Gillingham and Hull).

Yes Premiership and Championship he wasn't successful but we are nowhere near that level.

He did a decent job with the Under 21's which hopefully will mean that some of our youth players may be given a decent chance.

Will be interesting to see how the next couple of weeks unfold with players staying or leaving and whethere there are any new faces.

This is a load of rubbish.

Gillingham - Took them into the championship for the first time in there history.

Leicester - His worst role yet, ONLY due to the fact he had to take over from Martin O'Neill, as Wycombe fans we should know how hard this is to do.

England - Gave Beckham the armband, bought Ferdinand, Barry, Dyer, Carraher and Heskey into the first team for the very first time.

Brighton - He won league 1 with them.

Hull City - Two successive promotions, and made them the basis of what they are today.

England U21's - Two spells, played 31 games and lost 3!!!

Stevenage - A stop gap that he didnt even want to do, in his press conference he only wanted to help train the team, and became manager as they chairman asked him to. He told the chairman he wasnt going to be there come the end of the season anyway.

To say he is a club hopper and a no brainer is bordering idiotic! The man has a massive array of medals and achievements at all levels of the game. The fans that abuse him are the fans that are jealous he left them. I am delighted by his appointment, and as he said himself, he has never in his career not seen out a contract. He was sacked, he never walked away. This is the man that will guide us to the promised land, he said if we dont get 2 goals a game we will never achieve anything. Thats the style we have been used to at Wycombe, forget Lambert, he did nothing for us apart from the Carling Cup. We want league glory and Taylor will bring this. £50 at 10/1 says I am positive!!

few lies in there chairboy41

You forgot to mention Crystal Palace? Thats a huge dent on his CV.
And at the press confrence he said he was asked to train the team but HE wanted to sign as manager.

He hasn't done much since he left England Under 21's

AND NOW Pearce hasn't lost 1 game as there manager.

Crystal Palace I did forget, that was poor of me, that was probably his biggest downfall, but I would love to see where the lies are son!? All of that information is fact, I briefly put it down from what I gathered from Wikipedia and the WWFC official site. What team do you support Shakey?

I dont think you can hate a man who has been at your club for only a few months. We had to put up with Tony Adams for a full year, if you want to speak about a bad manager then Tony Adams is the best person to talk about. The man set our club back about 5 years when he came in and almost every WWFC fan will tell you that, Adams is a good reason we are in financial trouble!

Well you have to look at your Chairman or who ever in that situation.

A man of Tony Adams no mangerial Experince and not much coaching experince.

Yes i have every reason to hate Taylor he set us back a few seasons with his crazy sales and crazy buys.

Not one of them has been good except Gavin Grant on loan

I dont think he can of done years worth of damage in the months he was there, and you still finish 6th or whatever it was, surely??

Yes we did finish 6th.

But we only left the play off spots 3 times that season.

Too bad that Taylor made it the wrong time for us to slip out of those spots.

My Honest Opinion of Taylors 2 most recent jokes is that his that his a joke.

But who knows. If Wycombe can provide him with the cash for him to use his sources that he has within the league then who knows maybe he MIGHT do some good.

But i wouldn't put a bet on it smiley

He will be given the cash again, but not as much as Lambert, the board are being a bit tighter this time. We have got Peter as he knows everyone and everything in football, he will do well.

I look forward to our friendly, are you going? Meet for a drink if you are?

I feel this appointment gives me worrying flashbacks to the Alan Smith appointment. Its a 'name', yes, but a name who's best years and best achievements are well behind him. Yes Taylor got promotions at Hull and Brighton, but they were really 'slam-dunk' promos in that they were favourites with a bit of cash in their respective divisions. WWFC should be favourites for promotion next season, but I have a feeling that we will go backwards from where the loser, traitor, turncoat no-promotion-gettin wretch Lambert.

I think we should have gone for a young, successful manager like...Robbins? I know Money from Walsall is available.....someone like that who has done well in the lower divisions and hasnt already shot their career bolt. Newell anyone? They are obv going for Taylor as a 'safe steward' to guide us to promotion but I think he will fail. Hope I'm utterly and totally wrong.

P.S don't be surprised if the team is gutted, yet again this summer. They need to hurry up and bloody get up or we'll have no good players left. Taylor needs to make 2-3 'big' signings quick to convince McGleish. Torres etc to stay.

PPS lets hope Magic continues his bizzare ascent up the leagues and we get another nice windfall from his transfer.
