Farewell Brian McBride

Premier League Fulham
by PAPAPAPAPA (U3265230) 28 May 2008
comment on the article

Brian McBride has chosen not to extend his 4 and a half year stay at Fulham and is returning with his family to USA! Although he was not the most prolific striker for Fulham, he was a rare breed of footballer who played his heart out for his club. He never stopped trying and gave everything to Fulham. Other players like Saha scored more for us but you can tell he is only there for the money. Other players in the Premier League should take note. We are losing a great ambasador for the sport!

im gutted that he didnt stay another season, as i thought he might have scored 10+ goals. Great player, felt he was underated a little. Fulham will miss him a lot, and the replacement will have to be a good one. Kudos to Brian, thanks for the memories, was a great player and a true gent

Spell and write properly you plum. Fulham had our cast offs over previous seasons. You will be hugging the relegation zone again. Tense times eh?! Getting rid of Coleman was a bad bad mistake that you will rue...

Ps - Yakubu came to us.. He's obviously rubbish

To EvertonNut:

Well, here are the facts. Brian McBride joined Everton on a 3 month loan deal from Columbus Crew, and scored 4 goals in 8 games for them. He donated all the money he made from that spell to charity. He made an excellent impression in England as a result, and that's why Fulham signed him permanently almost a year later.

Anyway, back to the point. Really respect McBride's attitude and his leadership qualities. Shame to see him go, and feel for Fulham fans as he was such a lynchpin for them. Cheers Brian!
