In the last test Kiwis bowled and batted as if they were not interested in winning or losing the match. In the second innings, they looked like a dissipated, dispirited, disunited and motiveless team.

I could detect that they were a very unhappy lot of eleven players who hardly knew each other and were led by a captain they resented. I have never seen a team coming on the field with that kind of defeatist attitude.

maybe warrior is from N.Z.,and it is his way of feeling better about the loss

Yeah, I agree with much of the above, I'm not sure Vettori is resented and I don't think they look dispirited. The Kiwi cricket team is, however, a bit callow but that'll change over time. Face it, before they even turned up this NZ team were written off and I think the painful fact is the lost after having out-played England for large spells of the game - it was the fact they let that game slip that hurts.

It was frustrating, really really frustrating.

Cobblers! Taylor's 150+ was not the innings of a 'dispirited ... defeatist'. Nor was Vettori's 5-for in the England First Innings the action of a resented captain hiding himself away.

The heads began to drop from about mid-morning on Day 4 when they began to realise they looked like losing a Test Match they had completely bossed for the first 2 1/2 days. And who could blame them?

Is warrior havin a laff the reason y the kiwis were in the strong position they were at one point is their team spirit and fight they show. They really try and play for each other and are proud of playing for their country an asset that many of the current england players need to gain!

What ? Agree with most replies on here. Do they really resent Vettori ? He's one of the better captains in Test cricket.

They lost because they had a couple of really bad sessions. First couple of days they were the only winner....that's why they probably looked a bit pee'd when England were closing in on victory.

How many New Zealanders of international standard are not playing for them at the moment, but playing elsewhere (Bond, H. Marshall etc). Also ,
I seem to remember New Zealanders getting injured an awful lots of times when the chips are down.
Does the black cap mean what they say it does, or are they as mentally fallible as their rugby counterparts ?

What game were you watching? ... what a bizarre article!

Vettori certainly isn't resented! He is a very popular member of the team and is very well respected ... The team were chirpy on the field, and tried 100% of the time ... yes they collapsed and yes they threw the game away, but your article frankly is a giant pile of steaming effluent.

...mind you, NZ are folding up and collapsing like so many deck chairs right now (day two) but, that said, they're a modest team and for England to get too puffed up over this could give them a mighty jolt when they meet a more competitive team.
NZ are going through a period of change, they are depleted but, given the circumstances, they're doing about as well as can be expected.
OK - a 2 nil loss looks odds on right now

waikato,
I feel there has been some good individual efforts and this tour hasn't been a complete disaster by any means, they will take a lot out of this and move forward

souths ... indeed ... Taylor surely has proved all his knockers wrong? ... Oram in the runs again, Vettori bowling and captaining well, O'Brien bowling well, Mills bowling well, How looking good and solid at the top ... yep, disappointed but not too sad ...

Unlike the author of this tosh of course!
