Congrats Stockport!

League One Stockport County

Well done Stockport!

So pleased you've done it - Jimmy Gannon has really turned your fortunes around this season - and your young team too of course made it happen!

I am a Gooner, but was up there at Edgeley Park for the Cup game v Staines (whoops - sorry and the replay), but since then what a great finish to the season.

And i must say your Club is so much better than the 2nd Division, great staff, a quality family club, always doing your bit to encourage fans, free trips to some away matches etc, functions etc.

I'll be honest when you compare Stockport County to my local club : Col U, sadly Col U come 2nd best.

I'll be going to both games next season (in between going to watch my beloved Gunners of course), and will def enjoy the trip to your place.

Well done!

Just got home from the game. Stockport deserved to win, overall they were the better side. Can't understand why the roof wasn't closed, it was raining non-stop, has been since yesterday, could have been a much better game if the pitch wasn't so greasy

Is this the first time that all 3 clubs, promoted via the play offs, finished higher than the other play off clubs?

Hull, Doncaster and Stockport deserved their promotion purely because of their league placing.

Congratulations Stockport, played some good football and deservedly won an exciting game of football. Unlucky Rochdale you played your part in a gripping match, good luck next year !!

What a credit to the division, skill level really good considering the greasy turf. Went to the pub next to the school where I teach in Geneva to see the cricket, amazed to see County on TV! Even had another ex pat County fan in the pub, we made enough noise for 5O fans!

Just got home, that was a long journey back, but thankfully not as wet as the one going down.

Sorry to say it , but Congratulations Stockport.

Stockport's passing was a lot better than Dale's and it showed, but we made them very nervous at the end with the second goal which was a cracker.

Thought Gary Jones played excellent and gave it 120%, and should have got MOTM.

Next Year Dale, no playoff's just straight up !!!

Congratulations Stockport, you were the better side throughout.

We didn't turn up for much of the game, and your two strikers were a different class to ours.

So well done, and we'll see you next year!

i am the bbc! (red (g) devil) -

care to explain what you mean by insinuating that i am a glory hunter?
(nb meaning i'll be going to col u v stockport, stockport v col u and the rest of my games will be at the Emirates - already stated i am an Arsenal Supporter!)

Let me guess - youre a Man U Supporter/fan? never been to any other game other than man u?

all talk on this post was fine 'til now, who needs critical stuff like that - what for? aren't you happy with you're season eh?
