On another note, I'm glad to read that Coria sounded pretty upbeat after his defeat.

It was a good solid win to start Fed's French Open. I still think it is going a bit far to say Nadal will 'def' win again. It is not just Fed who is going to give him a long competitive match this year unlike last where he didnt lose a set to the final. He could play Djokovic in the semis and that could easily be a very long 5 setter as shown in Hamburg, and maybe Nadal might start to feel the strain of putting so much into his tennis the last few weeks, (just maybe). Any opinionssmiley

I also completely agree that you cannot just take it as a given that Nadal will stroll away with this one. There are two weeks of playing ahead of the players and anything can happen...just think of the blisters he developed in Rome for example.
And also if it does get to be a Federer v Nadal final, it's not like Nadal usually wipes the floor with Federer, it's usually a hard fought game...and they can go either way...All will be revealed in good time i guess....
Of course, my favourites for the tournament are Seppi and Bolelli! laugh

A good start for Federer, He played more like his old self, No problem beating Querry. Rain stopped play as usual so did not get to see Nadal's match.Hope that Fed Reaches the final and wins, It's time.
