Jimenez is a racing certainty for qualification Giggsy, all the others you mention are way behind him and likely to stay that way unless they get their act together, Poulter, Casey, McDo and Dougherty blowing another good chance this week and Casey well behind.

I desperately hope that Jimenez is in the Ryder Cup team, for his charisma as well as his golf.

We need characters to light up the European Tour, and this guy is great to watch.

Great to see Jimenez win.......great player and great character for the team

Felt so sorry for McGinley though. Was really hoping he would give his Ryder cup chances a boost this week.

I'm not a golf fan but, like many professional sportsmen/women, they are moaners and whingers. I agree with the comments of Peter Aliss; stop moaning about the conditions and get on and play the game; if these guys are not happy then get out of it and do a proper days work for £400 a week!!!!!!

Normally don't agree with Allis, but he was spot on there...........on another matter, noticed how Oliver Wilson's caddy was lining him up on every tee shot...........time for a rule change there......i followed Wilson at Adare and it really slowed the group down.........

jiminez is a ledgend IMO too

i backed him at 33/1 last wednesday, i thought hed lost it when he missed that seemingly easy put and wilson had the chance to win on the 1st PO

Maybe not a legend for his golf alone, but certainly for being one half of the Cigar smoking, Ferrari driving team, oh and for those shoes, they never let you down anyone know where I can get a pair?

PS He wont play with Garcia at the Ryder Cup, so isnt going to relive the spanish pairing days.

Yeah Christian, they are Nebuloni shoes, which are hand made in Italy (I think) check out their website for distribution.

I think he'll need a couple more solid finishes to guarantee his Ryder cup slot, closer to the time people not in or on the edge will enter everything they can to try and get points.

I think Jimenez has a great chance at Royal Birkdale, very similar style of play required to Wentworth.
