Worcester Vs Bath

European Worcester
comment on the article

Considering i'm a student who like watching his rugby, i wasnt able to watch the game this afternoon, im just wondering if it was a good game, whether the result was a fair one. Shame about the result but considering the form bath have been on, and that its ruddocks first season at the helm, overal im pretty happy with the result and hope that next season we will be challenging

But he didn't favour Bath.. he made crap decisions agiast us aswell. He was just a bad ref. So I'll stick to what I said.

'Rugbydump I have just looked up the word biased "favoring one person or a side over another"I stick to what I said earlier he was the most biased Ref I have ever seen.'

As previously said.. I don't think he was biased. He was awful for both teams not just the Warriors! Ok so Bath may have got off slightly better but he was far from biased. The word I'd use would be terrible.

I wouldn't call the ref biased as I feel that requires intentional favour of one team (but if I ever see him supporting Quins! - joke BTW). I would however say that he definitely gave far more crucial decisions in Baths favour - by not properly penalising, not seeing a crucial forward pass etc. Thus the idea that he was equally/evenly crap is frankly laughable.

On the booing, I'll have to take your word for that but it seems fairly bizarre that it happened exactly after the interviewer asked Borthwick a particular question. Then stopped, then happened exactly after they asked Barkely the same key question.

Again, don't excuse booing Bath collecting their medals, that's just wrong. But think the above might suggest a few dimwits on each side sadly.

I was at the game and i have never seen such a biast ref...ok he made a few bad calls for Bath as well but none of those were crucial big calls.
At the end of the day bath should have had at least 2 sin binnings, there is no one on this planet that can argue against that.
Their first try was blatant forward pass. Take 7 points off their tally and 2 players off for ten minutes. I truely belief the result could have been different.
Saying that overall bath had dominence in the set piece and most of the posession, the only thing that kept the score down was some brilliant defence. Bath did deserve to win but i was disappointed in not being able to see a fairly refereed match.

Worcester fan here, ref wasn't biased, that doesn't really happen in this day and age, he was just appalling with Worcester getting the brunt of those decisions unfortunately. But Bath deserved to win, they didn't keep dropping the ball like we did!

I thought the ref cost worcester the game >sadface
worcester defended well all though they let two tryes in one had a forward pass in!!!
the warriors looked good at times, but needed to catch the ball more!!
the weather let them down too.
bath should have had atlist 3 yellow cards, we had three good opitunitys to score but bath cheeted and stoped us illeagle, and no actions apart from a penalty, however everything we did wrong the penalised us and give us a good talking too!!

Bath get one try from a forward pass.
Bath get one penalty from a high tackle on a player who shouldn't have been on the field.

Lee Mears pulls back Drahm's shirt when he had a very good try-scoring opportunity.

+2/4

Final score= 16-20,

Ohhhh wishful thinking eh?

Although I do think Bath deserve some silverware for their fantastic effort this season; God bless Nick Abendenon, what a great guy!

I don't think you can say the ref cost Worcester the game - who knows how it would have turned out had he binned Grewcock for killing the ball cynically the first time. Would have stamped his authority on the game and who knows the outcome then.

On the balance of play that I saw Bath were the dominant team, fed from line out domination.

I was in the Shed and I definitely heard some Bath fans shouting during Drahm's penalty kicks which was disappointing. Shame that.

I did hear the cheat chants at the end but I was on my way out to get some chips! I thought it was fans venting at the player who pulled Drahm back (not that I saw the incident - I was 70 yards away unlike the touch judge).

As for abuse of other fans, there was none of that where we were, just the usual banter. I even had a disagreement with a Bath fan who thought a penalty given to Bath was rough on Worcester, when I thought the ref was right for once!

I'm delighted with the season we've had, seeing the transformation of the team. Looking forward to progress next season.
