Owen Out - Deano In

Premier League West Ham United
comment on the article

Deano could get a great chance to start in the next two friendlies for England barring being crocked before hand and putting him out for another half a season! But really it would be great to see him in an England shirt and knocking in a couple - just hope he sign a new contract beforehand!!!

COME ON YOU IRONS

Some top players have come from the lower leagues.

To be fair, you dont see any lower league football so you wouldnt know.

Just look at the fa cup this season.Shock after shock.

Matthew etherington came from the lower leagues....

I don't know much about the kid but isnt the only reason hes in is because Kirkland is injured. Also next season if Ben Foster starts playing regularly for Man Utd next season i reckon he has a great chance of becoming England#1

turning into a bit of lewis hating topic this. personally i think there are lots of good domestic keepers in the football league. wigan nabbed pollit from rotherham a few seasons ago and he's pretty handy.

also shows that stuart pearces words hold sway (i presume pearce tipped him off re his U21 form).

Rooney with Crouch etc???

How about letting them sit side by side on the bench together and play Ashton and Agbonlahor up front?? At least they'll be loyal to their country and not to their paypacket - mind you, I loved the recent Beeb Radio interview with Crouchy....."what would you be if you weren't a Premiership footballer??" "A virgin" biggrin

Wat u say about Satt Blater making law for 6 home base players?

I m not against dis law. He is sayin we have 4 teams in champion league quarter final & dan 3 in semi final & 2 in final. Wat about few years back wen Italian & Spanish so called giants didn't dey dominated the champion league & dey had same numbr of teams & alot of forigners in their teams. Why is he cryin now becos English teams start dominatin. Wat u people say?

I think that the first half should have Ashton on to put a physical presence up there, then when the defenders are tiring, bring on Theo Walcott so he can run at them with speed:
JOE LEWIS TO MAKE DEBUT!

i think its about time ashton got the chance to impress capello. he has been the highlight for west ham this season, and deserves the chance to impress.

my line up would be...
James
Brown
Ferdinand (c)
Terry
A Cole
Beckham
Gerrard
Hargreaves
J Cole
Rooney
Ashton

Hargreaves and Brown may be a surprise to a few paople, but when you reflect back on their seasons and look at how they helped united do the double, then you would say that on their form, they deserve a chanve. Also, ferdinand should be captain because he captained united to the double, and terry didnt win anything this year, and i think terry needs to concentrate on playing and getting back to his best, which all england fans know he can play too, and if he isnt captain then it is one less thing for him to concentrate on.
