Well Done Celtic !Scottish Premier Celtic by Sasa Papac Is My Da ! (U11519697) 22 May 2008 Well done Celtic for fighting the the very end and winning the league , in truth the best team won and we deserved to lose it. Im dissapointed to lose the league but the fact that the footballing world lost a true great this week in Tommy Burns makes you wonder is it worht it - Rivalry ? Hatred ? Bigotry ? Sectarianism ? Racism ? , when all these things are flying round the old firm people like Tommy were trying to bring them toghether and some people practically just threw it back in his face and sing about hatred , its not what football is about , The Tartan Army is what football fans are about. mightymonty595 (U12072642) posted May 25, 2008 firstly, Rangers can only be considered to have a good season due to the previous two being terrible. a UEFA cup final is good. But the second stage of the champions league, the one rangers couldnt get to, is still better.

Gunner-Daniel (U9185642) posted May 25, 2008 I think the congestion of fixtures certainly had something to do with it. What might have gone differently if the amount of fixtures was flipped, and Celtic were playing so many games? Too late for "what-if" scenarios now, though.

jasbro (U4472899) posted May 25, 2008 Congrats to Celtic. You won the league...but there should be a big asterik beside your name. If there was ever a more tainted title we'll never see it. You can thank the game officials and the SFA for getting you lot about 10 more points than you rightly deserved.

tigerSanjay (U11087294) posted May 26, 2008 Tiredness? how can an ultra defensive team be tired? They just absorb the pressure, mostly form weaker sides in the SPL.So where does the tiredness come from? From their two matches against Celtic? Fact is they were pathetic against Zenith.A disgrace, infact.

jmcrues (U11834385) posted May 26, 2008 I don't know what all the fuss is about. It's there for all to see. Rangers had one hell of a season. End of story. Losing the league on the final day of the season, CIS winners, Scottish Cup winners and a European final. The system worked for WS and if you know anything about football you have to acknowledge the fact that the system paid off.

Congratulations to Celtic, you're worthy champions. Rangers played a damn fine season, admittedly rather negatively, challenged on four fronts but couldn't win when it would have secured them the title. They've noone to blame but themselves as you can't expect your league to just up and make everything easier on one club at the expense of others. If Rangers hadn't done so well in all the other competitions they'd probably have won the league. It's a bit like United with the FA and Carling Cups. Who knows what would have appened if United had played an extra 5 or 6 games? And Rangers had about 15 more than Celtic! Comment on this article
