coolnafs (U10700462) posted May 27, 2008 Trent Bridge seems to be a bit of a 'bogey' ground for England becos England have not won there since 2005. It is my favourite ground in England.

Stretfordend (U873987) posted May 27, 2008 ha! Ok, i'll forgive you! Sorry, I get a bit precious about Jamie How, he had a poor start to his test career, which is why his average is still pretty rubbish - but he's a genuine class batsman who can build an innings, rather than the Kiwi way of bashing a pretty 40 and getting out ... I predict he will be a NZ opener for a long time yet, and will end up with a pretty handy record ... His current ODI average of 42 is testament to his ability as well ...

KVGWilliams (U12044445) posted May 27, 2008 How very gratifying to see so many of those media pundits who had written off the England team, doing their drip drip drip of poison against Vaughan, Strauss and others being proved absolutely wrong.

Cricketing_stargazer (U2150250) posted May 27, 2008 That is one that I can agree with. New Zealand are giving England some tough practice before the series against South Africa. Certainly it will do the team more good than three innings victories in three days would. It does not make us world beaters, but the manner of the Old Trafford victory suggests that the side is capable of stepping-up for bigger challenges: South Africa will certainly provide those.
