mrgloverboy (U11107781) posted May 23, 2008 Why is Europe`s flagship evnt being played at this time of the year? Surely this event has enough prestige on the international golfing calender to warrant a more appropriate date. The greens are a disgrace! Can you blame Harrington for giving the tournament a wide birth.

HeadfortMan (U11086396) posted May 24, 2008 What I said goldwolf is that on TV it looks scruffy, that surprised me because Wentworth always looks immaculate on TV. The rough seems very long and uneven and and the "spotty" looking greens made it look less than it's pristine best on TV. I did say also that it might be different if you are actually there and obviously (and thankfully) it is - the TV angles can often give a wrong impression.

goldwolf (U3763942) posted May 25, 2008 HeadfortMan, I watched yesterdays play on TV and you're right, the course does look worse on TV than it actually is. The greens do look a bit patchy on screen. Comment on this article |
